98.6 is normal temperature for the baby . 99.7 is a very mild fever . If the baby is active and not uncomfortable due to it you needn't give Crocin.  Remember that rise in temperature is a symptom of an underlying cause which needs to be found out . Mostly fevers of childhood are due to viral infections . There may be history of fever or cough and cold in somebody in the family in which this may be a cause of fever in the baby too . The role of Crocin is only in bringing down the temperature without addressing the cause which is why the temperature tends to rise once it's effect wears off in a 4 to 6 hrs period . In general temp upto 100 F are well tolerated by babies and Crocin needs be given then . However as baby is too small , I would not recommend either self medication or medication through text messages.  Let the baby be seen by a Pediatrician either physically or through video call as many times subtle signs of infection are missed at home unless seen by  a Profesional .

Fever is considered when armpit temp is above 100.4F or 36.8C However best way to measure temp in infant is by rectal thermometer (but is an invasive method) Usually child below 6 months who are breastfed rarely have fever. But if you record above 100F, then better consult a doctor Red flag signs are fever, not taking feeds, irritable or lethargic, decreased urine frequency, fast or noisy breathing
