My 1 month old baby is breastfed as well as top fed with similac when breastmilk is not enough.. he has not passed motion since 1 day.. and there is grunting.. is he constipated.. if constipated what is the remedy for it? TIA
It is normal for neonates to not pass stools on some days.
More common in top fed (formula fed )babies.
Nothing to worry, you can wait for 2-3 days for passing stools.
Grunting notice may be due to inadequate and improper burping.
Kindly do burping for longer duration and see
Consult with Pediatrician if problem or grunting gets worse.

Nothing to worry about if a child hasn't passed the stool for 1-2 days. But if he's grunting then you must show the nearest cleaning as soon as possible.
