About Leela Eye Clinic
Leela Eye Clinic is a centre for complete pediatric ophthalmology evaluation and management. It aslo caters to adults with cataracts, glaucoma, neurophthalmic disorders and ocular infections/inflammations.Leela eye clinic was commenced in 2013 by Drs V.C. Parthasarathy and Kalpana Parthasarathy , the ophthalmologist couple on their return from the United Kingdom after serving the National Health Service, UK for more than 20 years . In September 2021, the clinic has been taken over and being run by Dr. Srikanth Ramasubramanian, a trained pediatric ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon. Dr Srikanth was trained at Sankara Nethralaya and then worked there as a Consultant too. Following that, Dr Srikanth worked as an International expert at CMER eye hospital (Hong Kong and Shenzhen). Currently, Dr Srikanth also works at Apollo Spectra hospital, Chennai and Apollo Children’s Hospital, Nungambakkam, Chennai.The aim of the clinic is to provide a service in ophthalmology that would lay emphasis on quality and would be patient-centric. The dream has been realised very soon with rapid development of rapport between us the team at Leela and our patients .The clinic has become a leading eye care provider in the region and obtained the accreditation of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals in India (NABH).Leela Eye Clinic is well equipped in managing and treating patients with strabismus (squint), pediatric and adult cataracts, binocular vision anomalies, diplopia or double vision, paralytic squints, neurophthalmology, children with developmental delay, cortical visual impairment, visual rehabilitation, Low Vision aids(LVA), orthoptics (vision therapy) and myopia clinic. Leela Eye Clinic also has facilities to treat and manage retinal disorders with lasers and surgeries.

Dr Lakshmy herself tested all the reports and requested me to take a scan for both eyes. In two days, they arranged for the scan and took the report. She explained to me about the serious damage caused to my left eye retina. The scan report clearly indicates the large hole in the retina, damaging my eye power. It was an unexpected report to me on my eyes. Dr Lkashmy explained all about the eye status and the need to go for cataract surgery for both eyes. She was also kind enough to explain the details to my daughter and son, who were very interested to know about the surgery. Considering my age, she did not suggest going for a retina operation. We were all well informed about the eye status and to go for cataract surgery. She indicated that the first cataract surgery will be done for the right eye, and after a few days, the left eye surgery will be done. This is decided considering my age and comfort level after surgery. The date was fixed for the right eye surgery, and drops were prescribed. In the meantime, Mr Subramanian, administrative and insurance co-ordinator, contacted us about our insurance mediclaim policy usage. His efficient approach in explaining in detail the insurance formalities and supporting us to claim the payment was very fruitful. We are really grateful to him for all his support during the surgery. About the supporting staff in the clinic, particularly the reception staff are so friendly approach in completing all tests, etc., with related staff. Dr Lakshmi also explained in detail about the surgery activities and motivated me well in completing the surgery. The surgery took 15 minutes, and all the related staff in the theatre were very supportive. Dr Lakshmy took special care of me due to my age and contacted me over the phone about my eye status after surgery and the importance of applying drops as scheduled by her without fail. In conclusion, I wish to thank all staff concerned and in particular to DR lakshmi for all their support in completing my cataract surgery for both Eyes very well satisfaction to me. I have no hesitation in recommending the Leela Eye Clinic and Dr Lakshmy for their quality and friendly service to the eye patients. I wish the clinic all success in their future assignments for the betterment of eye patients.

Met Dr.Srikanth after my sister's suggestion at Apollo 2 weeks back, and today came to clinic to meet him for a review. He is so kind and friendly, and I'm so satisfied with the solution he provided for my kid's eye infection. In 2 weeks she is fully recovered from the infection. And he is so generous that he didn't even charge a penny for the review visit though it's after 2 weeks. He is great among many other doctors who are always intended to get our money.
