Ms. Sumithra Sridhar

\n\nI was struggling with a lot of emotional baggage and felt unhappy most of the time. And so my best friend recommended me to see a counsellor. She said that she had found the best counselling in Bangalore at Heart It Out and that it had helped her through her tough times. My counsellor Ms. Sumithra Sridhar made me see things in a new light and completely transformed my perception of the world. She helped me overcome problems that I didn\u2019t even know I had! It is exactly what I needed. For me, counselling was an eye-opening experience that completely changed my life for the better.\

Since the last 3 years I was trying to find myself a therapist well aligning towards my issues and also someone who is trauma-informed, queer friendly, kind and empathetic in general. The very first session with Sumithra ticked all those boxes, and many more in addition. The last year has been challenging due to the pandemic and one of the reasons i have been able to regulate through it, is because of my sessions with her. Even though we always interact in the sessions virtually, it feels more than real and there is always a collaborative connection. Sumithra has helped me navigate through various downs in my life and has helped me to acknowledge and rejoice the ups too. She listens carefully and patiently and provides a tailor made comfortable and safe space for you to acknowledge your feelings, thoughts and emotions. I have an enormous amount of gratitude for her.

I've been seeing Sumithra S from Heart it Out for a few months now and despite my trust issues, she has made the sharing space very very comfortable, always respecting my boundaries and suggesting (and not enforcing) exercises that has really helped. It really makes a difference when one is at their poorest mental health to get help from genuinely warm and compassionate professionals. Discounts for students has been an extra consideration and in small things like this, they have really helped destigmatise reaching out for help.

Sumithra has helped me come a long way in terms of personal growth. Knowing that there is someone who is non-judgmental, empathetic and there to listen to my problems makes me feel better. She has helped me unlearn negative thoughts and move towards a more optimistic way of thinking through small self-help exercises. Sumithra has provided me a safe space to talk about my deepest and darkest thoughts and made me realize the importance of self-love. Extremely grateful for everything!

My experience with Sumithra Sridhar has been nothing but friendly, warm and welcoming. The space she provides to be open and a judgement free environment with the combination of giving us our own space and respecting our boundaries is definitely something that makes my journey with her heartening.

I have been working with Sumithra for almost a year now and I can't begin to explain just how wonderful of a journey it has been with her. She has created a safe space for me to be vulnerable and helped me self-reflect on my issues, while also making sure that my boundaries are respected. I've been consulting with her for quite a few sessions now and she makes me feel very comfortable. I love her technique and i love how empathetic and considerate she is during the session. I always feel relaxed by the end of the session or I've always gained insight by the end of the session. It's a great experience! :)

I am consulting Sumitra for couple therapy. Therapy is still going on but I personally am at a much better place because of her. She provided me with safe space to talk about some of the most difficult things without feeling judged. I have consulted few other counselors but found only two of them to be the best. Sumitra is one of them. It is extremely important that we feel safe to share our deepest/darkest stories with a counselor. Sumitra is a compassionate, empathetic confidant. Totally recommend her. More power to her.
