Ms. Jyoti Das

.i always wanted to try therapy because I always thought that everyone should be in therapy. We all have issues that we know or don’t know of.And it’s always better to get all the help we can .I had somehow gotten over the death of my aunt by the time I started seeing jyoti.I was doing pretty well by then.But I knew there was a lot of bad coping skills,a lot of thought biases and so on that I couldn’t possibly find by myself.We started of from my childhood and then we slowly progressed.During this process, a lot about my personality and life came up. I accessed parts of my psyche that I had forgotten about.Jyoti was so good at guiding me through.What she did was ask me these questions.now,I am the kind of person who hates explaining myself to even my own self.But jyoti made it so easy to do that and by that she helped me understand a lot about myself. by then the coronavirus pandemic Had started and all the things I thought I had gotten over started surfacing again.The same good old anxieties you know.And when that whole rabbit hole opened up,jyoti helped me through it. She still does!.it would be my pleasure to recommend Jyoti.What would work for me is a friend who has the wisdom to help me through a psychological hurdle.As it’s not a perfect world, that person didn’t exist in my life. And that person probably doesn’t exist in anybody’s life.Jyoti have sort of been that for me(that really says a lot about her as a therapist).I don’t know what her specialties are, but what she’s helped me through is with health anxiety.And I think she did a very good job at that; she still is.I hope my review help you . I've been going to Jyoti since the end of August 2020 after I discovered Heart it out shortly before. The sessions we've had in the past few months have immensely helped me consciously notice problem areas in my daily functioning and effectively work on them. Jyoti is the most supportive and unconditionally positive therapist and she managed to make me instantly comfortable to discuss my problems. I began therapy because my anxiety and depressive state along with extreme emptiness and dissociation was at an all time high during the lockdown, which was furthered by the loss of a loved one. Jyoti has been extremely patient and empathetic throughout the sessions and has helped me deal with the grief and process things. She is extremely intuitive, observant and great at what she does as she knows exactly the right reflective points or questions to provoke thought or change in behaviour and they have helped me notice so many new links in my life that I previously wasn't aware of. I highly recommend her for therapy and I also recommed Heart It Out as it is a wonderful organization that is striving to make mental health services more accessible to people. It is also extremely easy to navigate through their website to schedule therapy sessions.

My family and I were always close, but when I came out to my family, the image completely shattered. My family became distant and no matter how much I explained myself to them, they just wouldn’t understand. So somehow I managed to bring them to a family therapy session for psychological counselling where Jyoti Das said what I couldn't, and made them understand what I was going through. The whole experience was so incredible, we started to communicate with each other again, and it felt like ever

In the beginning I wasn't quite sure how it would be. Cause I had no trust in giving out my personal life details to an absolute stranger . I have had male therapists before so when I got a female it was a little confusing in my head .

But honestly she is an amazing therapist, listens to you and you can be totally honest . She doesn't judge you .

I wish I had more time with her though because she was my school counselor we didn't get as much time as I wish we could get .

This one incident happened in school where I broke the contract and Jyoti ma'am had to tell my parents . However , I was uncertain and never wanted the meeting to happen . Surprisingly, she was so amazing in the meeting and my mom absolutely loved her and appreciated her as my counselor. I can't thank her enough during stressful times she is always available via phone calls and I trust her even today completely.

She is extremely non judgemental and explains things to you that you couldn't understand yourself . Highly recommend her . She helps you through everything your going through .

Depression is becoming more and more common nowadays because of the increasing stress of our daily lives. There shouldn’t be any reservations in seeking counselling for depression because this is not something we can overcome alone. Speaking from my personal experience, I would not have been able to manage my depression without the help of my therapist Jyoti Das. She is so friendly and awesome, that trust me it doesn't feel like you’re talking to a therapist, but a friend!

I was searching for a good therapist online and I posted on a Facebook group asking if anyone knew any good therapist with whom I could have virtual sessions. Someone suggested Heart It Out, and I went ahead. This is probably the best decision I've made this year :)

Jyoti has been extremely supportive and has helped me get though anxiety and stress. She has constantly helped me keep check of my anxiety and deal with challenges better. I absolutely recommend Jyoti for her dedication and care. Also, the space at Heart It Out is very warm and welcoming.

I have only had a couple of individual therapy sessions with Jyoti but I have left each session feeling amazing.
