Dr. Yamini D

Dr. Yamini D holds an M.B.B.S. and M.D. in Psychiatry from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) and has 9+ years of experience in the field including her term Senior Resident at BMCRI and as Assistant Professor at NIMHANS. She is currently a consultant at Allo Health, India's first dedicated sexual health clinic. Her areas of interest include trauma, suicide, autism spectrum disorders and child sexual abuse (Child Psychiatry), Psychosexual Medicine, Psychotherapy, Geriatric (Old age) Psychiatry, and Neuropsychiatry. She has been part of speciality clinics like Autism clinic and Geriatric clinic in her previous places of work. She has a fellowship in Psychosexual Medicine from JSS University of Higher education and Research, Mysore. She is also certified in Basic training for MBT (Mentalization Based Treatment) under Dr. Anthony Bateman as part of the the Green Oak Initiative, The Parc, Bangalore & Anna Freud National Centre for children and families, London. She has done a certification course in Psychology for High performance by the Department of Sports Psychiatry, Stanford University and is currently pursuing International Training in Berlin Dissexuality Therapy (BEDIT) in order to work towards preventing child sexual abuse and contibute to interventions for offender identification and reform. She is a thoughtful practitioner, willing to take up scientific challenges and participates in clinical dialogues through presentations/symposia at various National and International Psychiatry conferences and also has several scientific papers to her credit.
