I recently underwent a LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) and a bone graft with this office. My experience was a mix of excellent clinical chairside care and some areas where communication regarding long-term outcomes and documentation could be strengthened. The Patient Experience The doctor’s bedside manner is commendable. Throughout the process, they were consistently polite and patient, taking the time to answer my questions during appointments. During the surgery itself, the doctor prioritized my comfort, ensuring the procedure was as stress-free as possible. One of the standout aspects of this practice is accessibility. The doctor was always reachable via text message, which provided significant peace of mind during the healing process. Furthermore, they proactively followed up with me to check on my recovery and ensure there were no immediate complications. Areas for Improvement While the immediate care was strong, I believe there is room for improvement in two specific areas: Goal Setting and Expectations: I found the discussion regarding long-term prognosis to be somewhat discouraging. When I inquired about how this treatment would improve my dental health over time, the response was that the procedure serves only to maintain the current state rather than facilitate improvement. A more detailed explanation of how "maintenance" fits into a long-term health strategy would have helped set better expectations. Administrative Follow-through: Despite repeated requests, I have yet to receive the formal paperwork or dental records pertaining to my surgery. Having these records is essential for my personal medical history and future dental planning, and the delay in receiving them has been a point of frustration. Overall Summary The doctor is a skilled and compassionate clinician who provides a comfortable surgical environment and excellent immediate post-operative accessibility. However, patients looking for detailed long-term health projections or prompt delivery of medical records may find the administrative side of the experience lacking.
