Dr. Prerna Maheshwari is an empathetic, open minded, trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ friendly psychiatrist who is passionate about de-stigmatising mental health care and making it accessible.
Dr. Prerna Maheshwari has been an absolute godsend for me. I've been in her capable hands for nearly a year now, seeking her expertise to deal with my ADHD and GAD. The positive changes I've experienced during this time have been nothing short of life-altering.
What's even more remarkable is that all our sessions have been virtual, but that hasn't impacted the genuine connection I feel with her. She's more than a doctor to me; she's been a lifeline, a confidante, and a guiding light on my journey to better mental health.
Dr. Maheshwari's patience and understanding are like a soothing balm for my anxieties. She doesn't just listen; she truly hears me, taking the time to address every concern without ever making me feel rushed.
What truly stands out is her remarkable ability to understand and work with my hesitations about medication. She tailored a treatment plan that respected my fears and comfort levels, and for that, I'm immensely grateful.
Her support isn't confined to our scheduled appointments either. Once, when I was about to purchase the wrong medication, she went above and beyond, calling me immediately to ensure I made the right choice.
Dr. Prerna Maheshwari is more than a medical professional; she's a kind and compassionate soul who has made a profound impact on my life. Sharing my heartfelt recommendation on Practo is just a small way to express my deep appreciation for her.
I have been on medication for PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, BPD and OCD since 2018. I have seen 4 doctors, and so far, Dr. Prerna has been the perfect fit for me. When I first consulted with her, I was on nearly 10 medications, sick of side effects and uncomfortable with my previous doctor's attitude towards my usage of substances. In the 5 months that I have been consulting Dr. Prerna, she has not only listened to me without any judgement, she has also been extremely kind and considerate of my needs, and solved every doubt between sessions on whatsapp. She has helped me reduce my meds to only 3 meds which work really well for me, and she has been appreciative of my efforts to take care of myself. It's the first time I have ever heard a psychiatrist tell me they are proud of me, that they think I am brave, that they think I am doing a good job. She has cleared all my doubts about the medicines and their side-effects, and has encouraged me when I have been feeling low about my health. My experience has been truly transformative. Dr. Prerna is also a LGBTQIA+ friendly professional who truly understands the nuances of being neurodivergent and works with you collaboratively. I will reccomend her to anyone who is struggling with trauma, ADHD, Depression or Anxiety. She has been my saviour.
I have been seeing Dr. Prerna since May of this year. The immediate difference I could feel with her compared to my last psychiatrist was that she was not at all judgmental of the things I was sharing. She is a very good listener, asks the right questions and really cares about my mental health progress. I would definitely recommend reaching out to her if everything is feeling too much 🤗
I've been consulting with Dr. Prerna for about 6 months now, and I am already seeing huge difference in myself. I'm surprising myself with my newly gained confidence, positive attitude, and the way I am now handling things in general. Of course I did expect changes before starting therapy, but this too much too soon, and I am really happy. She clearly knows how to help her patients, how to support and motivate them. I blindly follow whatever she tells me, and I feel a lot better compared to the way I was 6 months ago. And she is also super sweet, talking to her makes me feel so good!
I would 100% recommend her no doubt.!
