Dr. Shayanth M is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive clinical, academic, and international experience. He completed his MD in Psychiatry from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, one of the country’s most reputed institutes.His MD dissertation focused on novel treatment modalities, specifically transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in the management of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He has strong research experience and has published several articles in prestigious national and international psychiatry journals. He has also authored multiple chapters in reputed psychiatry textbooks and served as an editor for books on Depression in Diabetes Mellitus and Grief in Palliative Care.Dr. Shayanth has completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry from NIMHANS and also holds the DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Psychiatry.He has completed fellowship training from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He has previously worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a public mental health service at Northern Health, Melbourne, Australia, and continues his professional association with Australia as a Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist.Dr. Shayanth follows a holistic, bio-psycho-social, and person-centred approach to assessment and treatment.
