I would like to share my experience on Fortis team and Spine surgery dated 20-Oct-23.
Firstly, Dr. Deshpande V RajaKumar is best at his profession of Neurosurgery and the way spoke to us and explained the issue.
Actually we come to know about Doctor from our family friend. Then we took appointment to get the opinion of Surgery requirement. He clearly explains the requirement and showed the confidence of recovery after surgery. We completely agree and satisfied then and there only.
Doctor was not in a rush or pushed us for surgery and gave us enough time to decide.
However, we took another opinion and estimate from other reputed hospital as well.
We understood Surgery is must and should be done soon.

We are confident about Dr. Rajkumar and his experience on surgery.
I was in confusion selecting the hospital.
Later I could able to decide cost vs quality service and Confidence on doctors and Neurosurgery team at Fortis.
Finally we decided to with Fortis and Dr. Rajkumar and team. I can say that’s one of my first and best decision.
I could able to get the admission and surgery dates as per my requirements.
Admission process is smooth but little delayed due to non availability of rooms [7.40 am to 11:00 am]
All Investigations completed and my father is fit for surgery.. [ Very smooth and systematic]
Then it’s Surgery day. Process started at 7:00 am and all proceedings as per instructions to Nurse team and duty doctors. At 8:00 am he was taken to Operation theatre. Updates we are getting.
We are happy that Surgeon team came explained the surgery is completed and all went well.
Later ICU and Care at Wards by Nurse team is impeccable. We could see the results immediately and improving further.
Well organised and best team.
Finally, without any hassles my father is discharged on 22-Oct-23. he is doing good at home now.
Discharge process started early at 11:30 and few delays by TPA insurance team as usual. Few clarifications and queries between hospitals and Insurance. Finally we got final discharge note by 5:30 pm. Later discharge team explained all the care and cautions.
Thank you Ms. Supriya Salian for excellent support and smooth process with Dr. DV RajaKumar and Fortis team. We really appreciate her. She also supported in matching the estimation cost of surgery package.
It’s a really great experience and best surgery at Fortis. Well recommended.. 🙏🏻

I had been experiencing chronic back pain and nerve pain in my left leg for the last 5 years. I had tried physio, acupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic work, steroid injections, dry needling, cupping etc. Nothing helped me relieve my back pain. I visited several doctors in several cities, and I couldn’t find an answer or solution to my issue. Thankfully, I got to know about Dr. Rajkumar through an acquaintance. ** ** *** **** ** ***** **** ** ************ From the first visit, he instilled so much confidence and positivity in me. He had a look at my MRI reports and suggested a lumbar spinal fusion. I had so much faith in him from the first day itself. He is so patient, considerate, empathetic towards the patient, that half your pain will disappear post an OPD consult itself. Today, I’m 5 weeks post op with ZERO back pain. The nerve pain is still there (slight) as the nerve that was compressed is still healing. I can’t rave enough about Dr. Rajkumar. He is THE BEST. Additionally, I’d like to thank his team – Dr. Murali & Dr. Karuna who were fabulous as well.
A huge thank you to FORTIS HOSPITAL, Bannerghata. The 3 days that I spent there post op - I fell in love with that hospital. During the COVID times, they have taken such good precautions from social distancing to hygiene and sanitisation practices. From the food, to the housekeeping – EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Tbh, I didn’t want to go back home. Thank you to my nurses in the ICU – Sister Kala, Sister Manju and Sister Anthoniammal and the others. Spine surgery can be pretty painful, but the care that Fortis gave me, it made me feel safe and cared for. From the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU team.

This was 12 years back. I brought my mom all the way from Cochin to Fortis Bangalore. She came limping even without being able to walk. 15 days later she went back walking! He is the best i have ever come across. When you speak to him you feel that positive vibe from him following into us! Let there be more doctors like him.
Hoped for better: Wait time
pathetic experiance. no time management. people are given time of 12 and after reaching we are getting info that doctor is not available till and keep on waiting till 4 leaving everything . and the doctor does not have even a minor respect of the patient. if you are late for 5 min he won't treat even though he is there and if he is late he does not have even a little bit of concern that I have do away entire day. if you have lot of time to do away then y can think of meeting him.

**** **** ******. I was suffering from spinal issues for the last three years. I was heard about Dr. Rajakumar from my neighbour who had undergone spine surgery five years back by him. I met him on 24 June 2022 to consult my illness. He explained everything and I was fully satisfied and underwent surgery on 29 June. Now I am improving gradually and I hope that I will be ok within a few months. Thanks a lot to the great doctor.
My dad had consulted the doctor and it was for shoulder pain. Consultation was fine by the doctor. I would like to recommend the doctor to many people. There was no waiting time when we went. Medicines was prescribed by doctor during consultation. Medical tests were done in the hospital. Hospitality was good. Walking and exercise was suggested.
I had consulted the doctor and it was for brain surgery related. ************ *** **** **** ** *** ******* One of my cousin recommended this doctor. I had to undergo spine surgery. We went for second opinion. I am satisfied with the explanation and treatment given. I can surely recommend doctor to my family or friends circle. ** ** *** ** **** ****** ** *********. There was no waiting time in the hospital. Doctor was friendly.
My uncle had consulted the doctor as he had severe shoulder pain. Consultation was fine by the doctor. I would like to recommend the doctor to other people if anyone ask. We are satisfied with the treatment given by the doctor. Physiotherapy and exercise was suggested. MRI was done. There was more waiting time in the hospital when we went. It was 1.5-2 hours. My uncle is recovering and better now. Doctor was very friendly.
My mother had visited the hospital and it was for spinal problem. ****** *** **** ** ********** **** I can definitely recommend the doctor to my family or friends. It was surgery related. Tests was done for her. There was more waiting time in the hospital. It was for 2-3 hours. Doctor was friendly with her.
In terms of treatment, I have got the best from him. I am highly satisfied with that. The crowd was very large and in the middle, the doctor was insisted to go for an emergency surgery. So the waiting period extended to three hours. Though it was distressing, I got convinced because of the honest and satisfying consultation. He is an experienced *** ************* doctor and the waiting period was absolutely justifiable.
