I had met multiple well known doctors in Bangalore for my asthama wheezing and cough before I met Dr.Vasunethra, the first thing I liked about him is the extra mile he travels to understand his patients symptoms well..he infact did a thorough understanding of my entire medical history on all my medication before he suggested any new medication. He exactly diagnosed my problem related to a particular medicine I was taking which inturn was creating my problem with excessive cough. The moment he changed the medicines accordingly, my suffering of almost 6+ months vanished in a few weeks which talks a lot about his knowledge and supremacy he has in his field.

Plus one more important quality which I personally liked is his genuine care for patients, he doesn't overdose you with medicines - even though most people like me suffering from a severe condition would say give me any medication but make me alright. He would smile and say I would want you to give it sometime and true to his advice my cough came to a good control, so those of you who have given up hope with asthama or any alergy cough or any pulmonary related issues suggest you please meet him once and I'm very sure you will get a sensible solution.

I generally don't write such long recommendations but for him since I'm sure a lot of people especially in a city like Banglore suffer from the asthama and alergy symptoms which can literally drive one nuts, that's why I felt I must write a good note which might help others like me:)

I had cold and cough for 3 months and its not frequently. After long hesitation and I decided to visit Dr. Vasunethra kasargod. Anyway I had afraid of visiting hospital that if they told any serious illness. As soon as entered, technician collected all illness details and suggested to do PFT before consultanting doctor. Its normal and routine test for this cause. After the results, met doctor. He clearly asked about my past medical history, current symptoms etc. Post all the validation and there is no finding in PFT. Then he suggested to have inhaler for 15 days and asked to give blood test as well. I wondered why blood test is required for the cough. But post blood test results only I got to know, Vitamin D level is low.

I really liked that he found the findings in a day and did only required tests.

And after used the inhaler for couple of days, i could feel the improvements.

And moreover, doctor speaks very friendly that gave me confidence and strongly recommend for who struggling chest related issues.

We have been consulting with Dr.Vasunetra from last 2years for Severe cough. The condition was if I get cough used to last for almost 2 to 3 months. After following his treatment we started to see the positive result in a short time. He connects with you on time, till date every doctor we contacted made us wait and then after they ready, we used to call but here he called us exactly on time.

His patience level is amazing, no matter how many times and in which form I ask same questions he answered. My grandmother was suffering from frequent bouts of cough for at least 2 years and we had consulted our fair share of doctors but the cough wouldn't just go away. Recently we decided to give Mr Vasunethra a try at the VR Breathe clinic, 2 weeks before Ramzan Eid. It was a well maintained clinic and the doctor himself was so friendly & disarming. My grandma doesn't speak much outside the house but she explained her concerns to him like he's been treating her for years which was a pleasant surprise. After listening attentively Doctor did his check up, gave his prescription and assured my grandma that she'll be ready for Eid. And she was ready before Eid. Kudos to the doctor here and the polite staff at VR Breathe.

Doctor is very friendly and helpful. He understands the situation and problem from the patients perspective and prescribes the treatment accordingly. Most importantly he doesn't make the patient to panic. Nowadays most of the doctors fail to give confidence and hope to the patient which is more important to treat patient psychologically. I visited the doctor since there was no progress in my tuberculosis medication. (I was in third month of medication, my health was deteriorating very badly) I got to know about Vasunetra through Practo and after reading all positive comments about him, I visited the doctor. I visited Dr. Vasu with an extreme shortness of breath and persistent cough which wasn't going away with medicines. Dr. Vasu was quick enough to suspect pulmonary embolism and send me to a cardiologist immediately. Thereafter I was treated for Pulmonary embolism and interstitial lung disease with appropriate medicines and treatment plan and I have been doing well ever since. I adore this patient- friendly and smart doctor and would recommend anyone with a respiratory problem to consult him without second thoughts.

Dr Vasunethra is well known to us and my mother has been consulting him through Manipal Hospital. Very satisfied with his treatment. But I have feedback about his staff. Whenever any tests are taken in the clinic, the reports are not delivered in a timely manner even after repeated followups. I am still waiting for the LFT report, and the staff is not responding to my message nor calls. My mother had followup consultation with another doctor who wanted these reports. I have faced similar concerns with bills, it’s never sent on time unless I collect it in-person. This needs to improve!

1. I initially went to this doctor for my father severe cough treatment. After consulting many doctors, at last went to him. many other doctors said it is TB, passive covid (there is nothing as such). Doctor looked into the reports and said, get the sugar level down and prescribed some medicines. within a week my father recovered. he had suffered with this severe cough for more than a month. I'm very happy with his treatment. 2. one month back, I got cold and severe cough. I had recovered from TB the year before. the cough was not recovering after taking antibiotics. it went on for two weeks. Since I knew Dr. vasunethra from my father health issue. I approached him, realised that I have asthma.
