Review of Psychiatric Session

I recently had a session with psychiatrist Dr. Indranil Saha, and overall it was very positive. Below are my thoughts on what went well, what I appreciated, and what I hope can be improved in future sessions.

What Went Well

Warm and safe environment

The psychiatrist made sure I felt comfortable from the start. Their tone was friendly, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I could tell they genuinely wanted to understand how I was feeling, not just check boxes.

Clear communication

They explained things in simple, understandable language. Whenever I had doubts or something was unclear, they paused, listened, and clarified. There were no moments I felt rushed or confused.

Active listening and validation

The psychiatrist paid attention to both what I said and how I said it (my worries, hesitations). They validated my feelings, acknowledged my struggles, and reassured me that what I was going through makes sense. That made me feel heard and less alone.

Insightful feedback and guidance

They helped me see certain patterns in my thoughts or behaviors that I hadn’t fully noticed. They asked thoughtful questions that helped me reflect more deeply. Also gave helpful suggestions and coping strategies I could try outside sessions.

Goal setting and planning

Towards the end, we discussed realistic goals for the coming weeks. We also set a plan: things to work on, small steps I can take. This gave me something concrete to carry forward, which felt motivating.

What I Appreciated Most

The psychiatrist’s patience — no pressure, letting me speak my pace.

That I felt trust-worthy atmosphere — I didn’t feel judged or like I had to hide parts of my feelings.

Practical advice — not just listening, but also giving me tools and suggestions I can use.

Feedback on progress — They noticed even small improvements, which boosted my confidence.

Overall Impression

This session was very helpful. I left feeling more hopeful and more equipped. The psychiatrist’s approach made me feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I believe this session will serve as a good foundation for future work. I am looking forward to continuing, and I feel confident that progress is possible under their guidance.

In 2017 jist after my marriage I was having trust issues with my wife leading to extreme anger and physical violence. It was then I consulted Dr. Indranil Saha. It was the best decision that I took for once I spoke with doctor it felt as if someone already knew about my feelings and problems. He was a paitent listener and asked very appropriate questions about my feelings and urgeness and prescribed me some medicines. The medicines worked like miracles and I was able to control my anger much better.

Fast forward to 2020, once I started working from home due to COVID 19, I started spending lots of time doing idle google search on offbeat topics of deadly health conditions. After 2 weeks of such web surfing I started seeing those sever symptoms in myself and started feeling as if I am dying. Minor disruptions in regular life like acidity or tiredness made me think that I was possibly having a heart attack, brain stroke or cancer and that I was dying. It became such a compulsion that I ended up doing CT Scan, hundreds of blood test, ECG, etc. There was nothing in the reports which suggested any ailment. On advice of my house ohysician I again visited Dr. Indranil Saha and again was surprised to see how simply speaking with him eases things out. As i explained the problem, he asked so accurate questions as if he already knew what is happening and comforted me that this is easily solvable. I took his prescribed medicines and followed his advice on habits and now again I am fully fit, back to normal life with no such feeling of doom / death.

I highly recommend anyone facing any kind of work related, sex related, marital or any kind of stress, panic or anxiety to do visit the doctor and follow his advice. I am sure his treatment will prove to be the same moracle as it did for me. I wish the doctor also the very best for being a saviour for so many of us.

Consulting with Dr. Indranil was one of the best decisions of my life where it took a happy turn and much more clear visibility of my life day to day interaction with people and each activity. Now after 6 months of medicine my quality of improved immensely and highly achievable. Any kind of behavior issues mood swings anxiety anger and bad temper got settled. Now can think before taking any actions plus take any rough situation as a challenge.

I took my dad to Dr. Indranil in Nov,2020 for his severe depression and anxiety issue...My dad was unable to sleep for many months due to his mental health condition..He had hand tremor, movement problem, lack of interest and many other issues.. At 1st visit Dr Indranil gave sufficient time to understand his problem and provided medicine..He assured my dad will recover...Just after couple of days of taking medicine, my dad could again sleep well, his mood started improving..After 2 weeks only he was feeling 50% better..After 6 months now my dad is almost 90% cured..There is no side effects seen due to anti depressants prescribed by dr so far.. Dr. Indranil Saha has been treating my mother for the last 4-5 months. He started treatment at a very critical juncture when my mother, a 75 year old lady, had just got operated for her right femur bone fracture and was suffering from post operative trauma and a sudden and complete loss of memory. After consulting many doctors and not seeing any improvement we had almost lost hope when we got in touch with Dr. Saha. Within a week of consulting Dr. Saha and following the prescribed medication and approach we started to see visible improvement in mother's mental as well as overall health. Each time the way he explained his diagnosis and counselled us at every step helped us immensely in our fight to get back our mother in her good old self. I visited him first when I was a minor and now that I am an adult, I really saw a shift in his approach towards me. He treated me as an individual, with dignity and did not judge or condescend me. He explained how my brain worked and the chemical imbalance and why I needed medication even when I didn't like it. He even adjusted my medication according to my needs. He also respected my consent and choice in not taking certain medications, and gave me alternatives instead. He also helped me make the right decisions in certain cases and encouraged me in times of need. He has been thoroughly patient with my addiction issues and abruptive impulses as well. I am doing really well and handling my personality disorder better than before.

First things comes to my mind about the sir ,He is a magician ,his words has a healing power ,the best part about the sir ,He know which medicine 💊 is required by the patient which is lacking in other dr and he adjust the dose according to ur needs .He understands u and explain u the disease u r suffering which is the best part about him .He make u feel easy .so anyone who is suffering from mental Illness ,don't hesitate to visit him.

Since I m suffering from bipolar disorder from 2013 and I have been visited seven psychiatrist but nobody has the answer for this question, but sir got it in one visits...Thank you sir for my silver lining a rays of hope. And Almighty gives u good health so that u can treat patient like us🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤲🤲🤲

My mother is a patient of Dr Saha since 8 years. My mother was suffering from acute neurological disorder. She attempted suicide once upon a time also by swallowing pesticide. I was carrying little hope at that time regarding recovery of my mother. But Dr Saha treated her well and she is fine now. I was also in acute depression and anxiety after departure of my wife and my father. I was without sleep for 15 days and unable to do simple daily works.But Dr Saha treated me well and I am now back in life and doing well. Dr Saha has done great help for me during very crucial time of my life.
