Like many teenagers dealing with acne, I was insecure about my appearance. My acne, which had been manageable during school, worsened when I started college — a new environment, stress, and a vulnerable age.
I consulted Dr. Jitender Taneja for treatment. During my first visit, I was prescribed isotretinoin for a planned duration of six months. My mother was present and specifically asked about possible side effects. We were told there were none.
Initially, the results seemed remarkable. Within a month, my active acne cleared rapidly, though marks remained.
