I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2023 and had to undergo a glossectomy followed by radiation therapy from January to March 2024. For those who do not know, radiation does not differentiate between good and bad cells, and while it helped destroy the cancer, it also caused significant damage to my tongue and surrounding areas, resulting in fibrosis, loss of mobility, and severe difficulties with speaking, chewing, and eating.

I am 68 and suffering from severe hearing loss in both ears for over two decades and suddenly in Dec. 2021 I felt like total hearing loss. I tried programmable hearing aids of a reputed brand but wasn't satisfied. Then I consulted Ms. Vitheeka Kapur in Jan. 22 and explained my past experience. She is a very talented, knowledgeable and experience audiologist. She performed a few hearing & speech audiometery tests and was able to precisely diagnose the problem. Based on that she conducted a few sessions of speech audio therapy and programmed the OTICON hearing aids. After a few trials and programmings I was feeling fully satisfied even in extreme noise conditions. Now after about 4 months of being on these aids a sort of miracle has happened and my lost hearing has revived to some extent in one of the ear which was considered close to near total loss for over two decades. I am very thankful to Ms. Vitheeka Kapur for doing this magical treatment which has made me feel alive again. I am now confidently meeting & communicating with people, which I had been avoiding earlier.

My daughter is 4.6yrs now....she was a premie, born in 29weeks. Everything was fine with her hearing initially. She even started babbling,saying a few words too...but suddenly she stopped speaking. I visited Dr. Veethika wanting to upgrade my hearing aids. I have been using hearing aids for the past 9 years, and I simply wanted to go get a new, good quality hearing aid. Frankly, I was expecting this to be a routine transaction; but I was pleasantly surprised with how it was not.

The doctor first had my audiometry test done and took the effort to understand my problem in detail, post which she recommended a device, which according to her, would help me best. She even gave this to me on a trial basis so that I can judge the device myself after using the same.

It deserves a special mention that before recommending the device, the doctor, very patiently, explained to me the working of a hearing aid, the working of our auditory perception, and how, given this, the aids I had been using till now we're not upto the mark, and doing more harm than good to me, given my relatively young age.

I have been using the device for some time now and the doctor and her staff have always been approachable for even the minutest of issues, like changing the device settings, and have always helped me with prompt action for the same.

The device I am using now is helping me hear (and thus speak) much more clearly. Sounds which used to be muffled earlier, and which I had just accepted as a lifelong phenomenon, are being perceived by me now. The auditory sessions organised by the doctor have also helped me a great deal with the same.

In all honesty, I truly feel blessed and lucky to have crossed paths with Dr. Veethika. She approaches her profession very religiously and I have no qualms in admitting that she stands head and shoulders above all other hearing specialists I have been in contact with ever since the onset of my hearing loss. Veethika Kapur speaks to you like a friend yet is superbly professional. We met her first time in December 2021 at V Listen regarding the delayed speech with my Son. Dr. Veethika was a great listener and made an accurate diagnosis of our son's delayed speech development. She was clear and transparent with the problem and the solution. I was very happy with the treatment I got for my mother who suffered a brain stroke in the month of July 2020. Excellent experience for my father's ear hearing aids..

We went with an issue of existing hearing aid being used for one ear not giving good performance..

On detailed analysis it was found that existing hearing aid was not compatible for the requirement. Doctor provided excellent guidance for purchasing of new better hearing aid. The new hearing aid give excellent results.

As an added benefit doctor fine tuned the old aid for the other ear which was almost in non -functional condition.

Now with new hearing aid in better year and utilizing older aid fine tuned to give improvement in non-functional ear there is overall much improved hearing due to use of both the ears.
