What started as a routine blood test turned into a life-changing experience, and I am so grateful to have been under the care of Dr. Yamini Chitra throughout.

My regular blood tests revealed iron deficiency anemia (hemoglobin 9.4). Rather than simply prescribing iron tablets as most doctors would, Dr. Yamini Chitra took a more thorough approach and ordered a series of diagnostic tests, including a colonoscopy. That decision made all the difference — the colonoscopy detected a fairly large polyp (5.4 x 3.3 x 3.3 cm).

What truly sets Dr. Yamini Chitra apart is her integrity and patient-first approach. She proactively encouraged me to consult other senior doctors for an alternate opinion before proceeding — a rare and reassuring quality in a specialist. She also gave us the flexibility to choose our preferred hospital for the surgery, and we chose Manipal Hospital, Varthur. She then performed a laparoscopic left hemicolectomy, and the surgery went smoothly. The entire medical crew was cooperative, attentive, and made me feel well cared for throughout.

The nursing staff were exceptional — their warmth and attentiveness made me feel at home during my 4-day hospital stay. The biopsy came back negative, and at Dr. Yamini Chitra's recommendation, a second biopsy was also done for complete peace of mind.

The post-surgery care and follow-up visits were excellent. I recovered remarkably fast and was back to work within just 2 weeks of surgery.

My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Yamini Chitra, her wonderful crew of doctors, and all the support staff. She is, without doubt, one of the finest gastroenterologists in Bangalore. I highly recommend her to anyone dealing with GI issues — she doesn't just treat symptoms, she looks for the root cause and truly cares about her patients.

********* ******* The Doctor madam Mrs. Yamimi chitra, gave *** **** gastro treatment with a good psychological confidence to my aged mother who is 87 years old. The Doctor gives more importance to listening to the symptoms explained by the patient, since, symptomatology is the pillar on which, the method of treatment, Allopathy, stands. The Doctor's fees is nominal, which, anybody can afford to.

Her words were crystal clear and result oriented with the realistic possibilities. I was not getting any such thing from any other Dr. She operated a very critical stomach replacement. Patient ( Samir Das) had several complexities and was infected with cancer too. Dr Yamini Operated so well with the price of 1/5th, I was asked to pay in other hospitals. Note that she had returned all those medicines which was not in use after the operation.

Dr.Yamini was so much honest in telling me that there is no issue with my health and there is no need for any prescription. She advised me for physical workouts and just keep a positive attitude towards life. Happy about it !! Otherwise I had a very bad experience with one of the earlier Doctor through the same Practo who had advised me all kind of tests and scan for this issue.

Definitely recommend Dr.Yamini and India needs more such humble Doctors in this noble profession.
