As a licensed practitioner in California, she practiced for about 7 years in Fairfield, Fremont and Livermore. During this period, she took up Continuing Education (CE) courses in all aspects of Dentistry to enhance her skills. She was trained by Dr. Chris Pescatore, Danville, CA, a leader in his field of Cosmetic DentistryShe returned to Bangalore with her family and set up Smile Needs Dental Group in the year 2006. It is a State-of-the-Art Multi-Specialty Dental Facility located about 6 kilometers from ITPL, Bangalore and about 6 kms from the old airport. Dr. Shaila Kumar completed Nobel fellowship in 2009 for Implant and Esthetic Dentistry offered by Nobelbiocare. She has finished a Diploma in Laser Dentistry under the able guidance of Dr. Suchetan Pradhan, Mumbai-India, a pioneer in Laser Dentistry in India and President of Indian Academy of Laser Dentistry (IALD). Dr. Shaila Kumar is a fellow of the International College Of Oral Implantologists(ICOI) since 2010.
