Wouldn't say it was dark, but it was certainly a strange time in my life. New job, new city, new people, moreover, newer surroundings.

Adjustments to this new environ coupled with the fact these changes had an adverse and unforeseen strain on a relatively new marriage. I was grappling with stress and uncertainity at all times. Sometimes, it became too much to bear with.

Word of advice to seekers of professional help- Please don't hesitate come to her. She has an innate ability to understand, dissect and rectify the issues you've been facing. It was a pleasant surprise for me and I hope others could benefit as well.

She listened actively and had empathy. I so much needed to be heard and she did just that. Most of the advice shared by her were obvious but still when it came from a person who is not pushing personal agenda, helped me absorb it better. Conversation went on for extra half an hour and she accommodated that because her next slot was free.

It took me 3 years to finally se a psychologist for my prevailing depression. Dr. Shruti's emphateic and informed approach has enabled me to move forward and prioritise myself. She had created a safe space and enabled me to reach to the root cause of the constant feeling of being not good enough. I am still undergoing therapy with her and would strongly recommend it to everyone.
