Dr. Rajeev is a highly attentive and empathetic doctor who takes the time to carefully listen to his patients. He creates a comfortable environment for patients to openly discuss their medical issues, ensuring that they feel heard and understood. Dr. Rajeev is skilled at explaining complex medical topics in an easy-to-understand manner, offering clear insights into the root causes of conditions.
Issue:
For the past 5-6 months, I had been experiencing restricted movement of the foreskin, which made retraction difficult. Initially, about 60-70% of the foreskin could retract, but over the last 1-2 months, this restriction worsened, and I could only retract about 5-10% of it.
Why Treatment Was Needed:
Improved Hygiene
Reduced Risk of Infection and Bacterial Growth
Better Sexual Health
Before Treatment:
1. First Visit – MatoShree Clinic
I explained my problem to Dr. Rajeev, who took the time to discuss the potential causes, symptoms, and treatment options with me. After examining the issue, he recommended Stapler Circumcision and thoroughly explained the procedure, including the steps to follow during recovery.
2. Second Visit – Manipal Hospital, Varthur
I visited Manipal Hospital for a second opinion. While the doctor briefly discussed my concerns, I found the experience less helpful. The hospital charged an additional registration fee, which seemed unnecessary, and the consultation itself did not address all of my queries in detail.
During Treatment:
Once I decided to proceed with Dr. Rajeev’s recommended treatment, the Stapler Circumcision procedure was performed smoothly. The entire process took about 15-20 minutes. Local anesthesia was applied, and I rested for a couple of hours afterward to allow the anesthesia to wear off. Initially, there was some discomfort, which was entirely normal.
A TPA (Third-Party Administrator) was present to assist with the medical insurance and cashless claim process, making the overall experience smooth and hassle-free.
Post-Treatment:
1. First 2 Days
After the procedure, I had to wear a dressing for the first two days. The tip of my penis was sensitive to the touch of clothing, so I wore a lungi to avoid irritation. During this period, even a light touch caused a mild tickling sensation.
2. After Dressing Removal (Day 3 onwards)
Once the dressing was removed, a stapler ring was visible around the head of the penis to help the skin heal. As per Dr. Rajeev’s advice, I cleaned the area three times a day using a water-soaked cloth, wore loose clothing (mostly lungis), and avoided using soap around the treated area. I also refrained from riding a bike and engaging in strenuous activities for the first two weeks.
There was a mild discomfort when erections occurred, as they put slight pressure on the stapler, but this discomfort subsided within 2-3 days as the new skin began to form.
3. Week 1
By Day 7, I noticed a significant improvement. Walking became easier, and the sensitivity around the treated area was greatly reduced. The stapler ring began to naturally loosen, and a portion of it fell off.
4. Week 2
By Day 14, only a small portion of the stapler ring remained. At this point, I was able to drive a scooty, though I still avoided any strenuous activity. I returned to my normal routine, including going to the office, while continuing to wear loose clothing.
5. Week 3 (Day 20)
After about 20 days, the stapler had completely fallen off. There was no discomfort whatsoever. During my final visit to Dr. Rajeev, he examined the area and confirmed that the healing was progressing well. The procedure was a success, and the skin had fully recovered.
Final Thoughts:
The entire process was smooth and well-managed, thanks to Dr. Rajeev's expertise and careful attention. I am now experiencing better hygiene, reduced sensitivity, and improved sexual health. I highly recommend Dr. Rajeev for anyone facing similar issues. His approach is thorough, and he ensures that you are well-informed and comfortable throughout the treatment journey.
Visited Dr. Rajeev Bashetty (Urologist) For ESWL

It has been great experience at Matoshree Kidney Stone Stone center for me. I had large stone in right kidney (~15mm) along with other small ones. It was creating problems once in while for me and I decided to get it removed. My wife searched and found this place. We took appointment mainly because it had good reviews and was near to my house.
Staff is very helpful & courteous and they will do regular follow-up with you. Facility is good and place is very well maintained. All documents including insurance claim related very readily provided.
In my first appointment, Dr Rajeev Bashetty asked in detail about problem and suggested possible solutions. Had ultrasound report handy. ESWL being the first preference, if not successful then other surgical procedures like ureteroscopy etc. Doctor was very forthright is telling success rates of ESWL. Was transparent about cost also. Before procedure Dr asked all reports like CT, Ultrasound, other tests etc to access everything properly.
Usually, it may take 2-3 sittings but my stone was little hard so I needed 3 sittings of ESWL to get stones in Kidney broken and one extra sitting since stones were stuck in the pipe between kidney and bladder. After few days of final sitting, I passed all stones. Overall, it took around more than month for treatment.
This procedure needs patience as there may be multiple sittings and gaps between each sitting, so be mentally prepared. But don’t worry, Dr will take care & is very helpful.
Overall, very happy with the professionalism of the Doctor. Instils confidence in patients. Would definitely recommend anyone having stone problems to visit Dr Rajeev.

****** ****** ** *** **** ****** *** *** **** ***** I was diagnosed with a kidney stone of 11 mm few months ago. I tried all different kinds of treatments and went to many doctors but got the same answer everywhere that it needs to be surgically removed which requires inserting an endoscope followed by a stent. I didn't want to go for this. Then I got to know about Matoshree Kidney stone center and I went there. Doctor Rajeev explained everything very clearly to me and explained about the ESWL procedure in detail.I chose ESWL and I had just one sittings which was done personally by Dr. Bashetty. Throughout the duration of the procedure he made sure that I was at ease and comfortable. Within one month I passed all the stone fragments and I am stone free just after one sitting!. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Bashetty for his treatment and support. He is very friendly and explains everything very clearly. He was very friendly and supportive throughout. If you have kidney stones, visit Doctor Rajeev.

The Treatment is done after listening to you very well on the symptoms , past data , reports . he will not prescribe antibiotics just for the sake of starting the treatment and he will make sure you get the right amount of medication and not more and not for more than the required duration.
during my treatment I had almost 3 UTI one after the other and the bacteria that was causing the UTI was different on the 3rd occasion . After taking medicines for 7 days the UTI was resolved and urine culture showed no bacteria. if you have recurrent UTI - you have to probably check once in a while if bacteria is there or not ..so out of curiosity I just did another Urine culture 4 days after the UTI treatment was completed and it showed E Coli bacteria present . I went to Dr and he asked me whether Urine sample was a home sample or did I go to the lab and gave the sample . I told him it was a HOME SAMPLE . He told me we should NOT rely on the home sample (as there can be many factors that may come into play like how the sample is taken to the lab etc) and asked me to repeat the test . to my surprise he was RIGHT and there was no bacteria found in lab test. I thank the dr for his advice as it avoided taking another round of Antibiotics which may have weakened by immune system in the long run.
The dr also provides you response via WhatsApp which has helped me immensely during these UTI days..
