I took my child to the Doctor for gum swelling and when I asked the reason for swelling, he said it 'may or may not' be because of cavity in the tooth beside. He immediately recommended a small procedure and when asked if medicine could help reduce the swelling, his response was again ' may or may not' heal. I got a feeling that he had decided to do the cuts/procedure without trying any medication.
