Hi, Iam Sumana.I was suffering from severe jaw pain, continuous clicking sounds, clenching, ear pain, and a sharp pricking sensation in my ear. The pain was so intense that I couldn’t even eat soft foods like papaya.

Initially, I consulted a dentist and even got tests done. Another dentist told me it could be a wisdom tooth issue, but nothing was improving.

But Dr. Shailaja reassured me that the treatment would be minimally invasive. She designed a custom-made TMJ splint for me. Initially, I wore it throughout the day, and gradually my pain, clenching, and jaw discomfort reduced. I also started sleeping much better.

What really impressed me was that Dr. Shailaja didn’t look at my problem only from a dental perspective. She evaluated my condition from all angles and, to be on the safer side, she also recommended consultations with an ENT specialist, a physiotherapist, and a neurologist. This holistic approach gave me a lot of confidence, knowing that every possible cause was being addressed.

She also shared simple yet effective pain-relief tips, like using hot and cold water packs on the painful areas. I had weekly follow-ups where she patiently listened to all my concerns and made necessary adjustments to the treatment. Her team is extremely friendly, supportive, and always ready to help.

Now, I only wear the stabilization splint at night, and my pain has reduced drastically—from 9.5 to about 3 on the pain scale.

I have been to Dr. Shailaja's dental clinic recently for a root canal, teeth cleanup and a tooth filling. I had heard that root canal procedures can be extremely long and painful. Surprisingly though the procedure took two long sittings, I was barely uncomfortable during the whole process. She continously ensured that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Dr. Shailaja is an extremely skilled dentist, seems to have a lot of experience and is clear in communicating the treatment needed.

Also, I normally donot review doctors, but I thought I should review the clinic because I had a great experience.

I visited Dr.Shailaja Prasad for wisdom teeth extraction. After initial observation, yesterday she extracted wisdom teeth painlessly. She briefed me all the issues pertaining to procedure in detail and shared list of dos and don'ts. She is an excellent dentist and I strongly recommend her for all your dental treatment. I'm always taken in promptly when I've made an appointment with Dr. Shailaja. There's also always pleasant music playing in her clinic which is quite calming. She explains everything very nicely and has a light touch and always ensures I'm not feeling pain during my treatments. I've had multiple cleaning sessions with her as well as cavities filled etc. Would definitely recommend Dr.Shailaja and her team.

Dr. Shailaja Prasad is thorough in her work. I had no fear of covid infection as I could see that utmost care was being taken. The filling was in my front tooth and the result was more than satisfactory, it was done with minimal pain. I was explained the origin of the problem and the solution, which made things clear for me.
