When my mother was first referred to him in April 2026 with severe osteoporosis and debilitating pain, he assessed her thoroughly, gave clear recommendations, and set in motion the physiotherapy and bone protection plan that took her from bedbound to climbing 20 stairs within six weeks.

When she fell and fractured her hip in May, Dr. Kumar was the first person we called - and within hours, he had reviewed the X-ray and had a clear surgical plan in place.

The surgery itself was complex. Her bone was quite fragile that Dr. Kumar had to proceed with extreme caution, extending the procedure significantly to avoid any inadvertent damage. There were no micro-fractures, no bone cracks, and the prosthesis position was confirmed satisfactory.

But what we will remember most is not the surgery. It is that he called us before the procedure to let us speak to our mother and called again after to let us hear her voice. That gesture - a surgeon in the middle of a complex surgical day taking a moment to connect a family with their mother - is the mark of a doctor who understands that healing is not only about the bone. I visited Apollo clinic seegehalli to see Dr Raghu Varma for my mothers sever cough and fever and I was very surprised to notice that by looking at my mothers overall physical appearance he suspected that there is more to it than cough and fever . So he recommended for an X-ray and it turned out that mother had developed pneumonia patches /early consolidation . He suggested seeing her health that it is advisable to take in -patient treatment considering she is senior citizen and has CABG history and associated heavy weakness .

Since clinic didn’t have in-patient treatment facility. He helped us in quickly getting admitted in Medicover hospital Hoodi and there onwards he kept monitoring for vitals and improvements. With Gods grace , Under his expert care my mother recovered well . During the whole treatment he was always approachable over calls /messages.

Even post discharge , it took some more time for my mother to feel completely normal but he was always approachable . Overall Dr is -
