My Story:

Dr. Raja Shekaran was suggested by one of my friend, whose kid was treated by him for a long time. According to my friend, Dr. Raja Shekaran is a very practical paediatrician and choses treatment plans depending on the child. His elder son had respiratory issues, so Dr. Raja Shekaran had been always cautious and gave mild antibiotics for fever and cold, to ensure it does not reach next stage. He is very cautious on treating it right away rather than wait and watch. He always took time for diagnosis for each children and is always available on holidays and odd hours(early morning/late nights).

Taking my friends suggestion, we took our kids to Dr. Raja Shekaran and we were very satisfied with his treatment. Even with twins, he took time for each child and gave medicines differently. My children have stranger anxiety issues, but with Dr. Raja Shekaran they were very friendly and didn’t feel scared. The only issue we faced is the waiting time, but he is worth the wait. His room was child friendly and he took some time to interact and play with kids before checking them. He is always soft spoken, kind, gentle and friendly. He also gave us backup treatment plan, in case the symptoms increased, due to which we were able to avoid hospital trips. He was also available on phone for clearing all our doubts. We always visited him during our stay in Trivandrum. He is so great at what he does and I have always felt very comfortable with his treatment.

When my kids had to do blood test, he asked us to email him the results instead of visiting him again avoiding frequent hospital visits with toddlers. He is a professional doctor and I’m very impressed with the care and attention given to kids and parents. He truly care for their patients and as a newish parents, we are so thankful for always having our questions answered, even if they were silly questions. I never feel rushed at the appointments. He is willing to listen to parents and takes time to diagnosis the child.

Post pregnancy my wife consulted Dr. Devika for contraception options. Even in her busiest hours she took time to explain all the effective methods and suggested IUD. My wife was quite skeptical about the procedure and side effects. But, Dr. Devika took her to a separate room made her comfortable and cracked few jokes. She also asked her about her birthing and parenting experience to distract her. With ease she took my wife through the entire procedure, after which she gave some juice and made her relax and was with her for sometime. She is so soft spoken, gentle and calm that even when patients are scared , they would relax eventually. Such doctors are a boon to medical field . Her professionalism and expertise is admirable.

Her compassion towards patients was truly outstanding at all times. She made her feel so confident with her caring nature and genuine concern and I can't thank her enough. I can honestly say my wife couldn't be in better hands and feel very lucky and indeed proud that my wife is one of her patients.

I would personally suggest Dr Devika for all gynaecology related issues and procedures.
