I consulted Dr. Praveen Mathew for severe chest pain and anxiety issues, was informed it was because of chronic acid reflux and bloating which was not addressed for a long time resulting in Barrets Esophagus. From the first visit in 2017 till today , one thing I really admire is that he was always calm, patient, and explained everything in simple terms. In the first visit itself he recommended many tests including blood tests , Fibroscan , ECG & ECHO etc to find out the root cause and once he found out it was Barretts , he suggested I do periodic endoscopy which I ensure is done. The process was smooth and well-coordinated. I was extremely anxious about my stomach issues, but he took time to walk me through possible causes and treatment options without making me feel overwhelmed. His empathy really helped ease my stress.His diagnosis was spot-on, and the treatment he prescribed brought relief within a 3-4 days(have been having this issue for ages). What I appreciated most was that he never rushed through the consultation and genuinely listened, am sure this possibly would not go well with people who are impatient, restless and so its not a surprise that I see few negative feedbacks in the reviews.Personally, I felt well cared for throughout.
