Our journey through pregnancy under the care of Dr. Ekta Singh has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the very beginning, Dr. Ekta brought not only medical expertise but also an incredible sense of calm, compassion, and commitment that made a world of difference in our experience.

One of the most reassuring aspects of her care was how personally invested she was in our well-being. During the pregnancy, my wife experienced a significant drop in haemoglobin levels. Naturally, we were concerned—but Dr. Ekta stepped in with a proactive and well-rounded treatment plan. Through IV iron therapy, supplements, and a carefully tailored diet, she helped bring my wife's haemoglobin levels back to normal by 36 weeks. This timely intervention ensured a healthy outcome for both mother and baby, and we’ll always be grateful for how attentively she handled the situation.

But perhaps the most defining moment of our journey was closer to the delivery. Although PV examinations indicated that a normal vaginal delivery (NVD) might not be favourable, my wife was very keen on trying for one. Dr. Ekta respected her wishes fully and stood by her decision until the very last moment, showing remarkable patience and empathy. My wife was admitted for NVD and labor was induced but when active labor did not progress even after 16 hours of induction, Dr. Ekta called us late at night, explained the situation with complete transparency, and gently advised us to go for an elective C-section for the safety of both mother and baby.

What truly stood out to us was the fact that Dr. Ekta came in herself, late at night, to perform the C-section. Her dedication, professionalism, and personal involvement gave us immense comfort and trust at a critical moment. The surgery was smooth, and both mother and baby were healthy—something we will always owe to her expert judgment and compassionate care.

Throughout this journey, Dr. Ekta was always just a message or call away. Her availability, responsiveness, and calm presence made every challenge feel manageable. She explained every step with patience, encouraged us during emotional moments, and provided post-delivery care with the same warmth and thoroughness.

To us, Dr. Ekta has been more than a doctor—she has been a trusted guide, a constant support system, and someone who made this life-changing journey a beautiful and safe experience.

Dr. Ekta Singh: A Unique Approach towards Medical Care

First Encounter:

During my twin pregnancy, we understood the inherent risks involved, prompting an extensive search for the best gynecologist. After careful consideration, we selected Dr. Ekta, a decision that has proven to be one of the most significant choices in our lives. Our initial nervousness dissipated upon meeting her, thanks to her positive attitude and reassuring demeanor. Dr. Ekta exuded calmness and didn't make a fuss about the twin pregnancy, not because she lacked concern but because of her confidence and expertise, having successfully managed numerous such cases.

The Importance of Time Management:

Dr. Ekta consistently demonstrated punctuality, adhering to our appointment schedules at Cloudnine. Although there were occasional wait times at the clinic, they were within reasonable limits (under 30 minutes), which we understood, given the detailed consultations each patient had with her.

A Unique Approach to Pregnancy:

Dr. Ekta's approach to pregnancy is distinctive. Her extensive experience in the field, coupled with her exploration of human psychology, sets her apart from conventional doctors. She made me feel comfortable from the start, emphasizing that I should enjoy the pregnancy and not worry unnecessarily. She paid attention to both my physical and mental states, valuing the psychological well-being of pregnant women as much as their physical health. Dr. Ekta also encouraged my husband to support my emotional well-being and provided counseling to both of us when needed.

She combined traditional knowledge with modern science by recommending a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and high-quality proteins while advising against junk food. Medications were sparingly prescribed, based on necessity, a practice I initially found challenging but ultimately appreciated. Dr. Ekta also favored home remedies, provided they were safe for pregnancy. She avoided unnecessary tests and empowered patients to make informed choices, discouraging frequent visits and advocating minimal consultations.

Availability and Communication:

Dr. Ekta remained accessible by phone for consultations, but she preferred in-person visits, motivated by genuine concern for her patients rather than financial motives.

C-Section Delivery:

On the day of my C-section, Dr. Ekta was punctual and ready in the operating theater, despite minor delays from the nursing staff. She displayed strong advocacy for her patients' well-being. I had concerns due to a prior laparoscopic surgery that had experienced complications, but to my surprise, the C-section went smoothly. My recovery was swift, allowing me to use the restroom with assistance within a day and being discharged after just three days. Dr. Ekta's dietary recommendations, emphasizing fruits and vegetables, played a pivotal role in my exceptional recovery. The horizontan scar from the C-section (well below my saree belt and almost at the begning of the pelvic region) was remarkably discreet. My husband even bet that the scar would become so thin that it would be hardly noticeable after a month, and he turned out to be correct. The scar was nearly imperceptible after just one month. I was filled with delight and amazement, thinking about being able to adorn my cherished sarees.

Dr. Ekta even suggested milk production-enhancing foods immediately after delivery, a practice that few other doctors endorse. Her reputation was evident when a nurse noticed my dietary choices and confirmed that I was Dr. Ekta's patient.

Post-Discharge Experience:

After returning home, everything went smoothly. Dr. Ekta recommended traditional milk-enhancing foods, a departure from conventional medical advice that typically discourages such choices for at least a month post-delivery. We had only a few follow-up visits with Dr. Ekta after delivery, and she declared that further visits were unnecessary as I was doing well.

I wondered why I am not given a chance to my body to do its own job..Thats the moment I decided that I will have a VBAC (vaginal birth after C-section) for my second delivery, I started my search on VBAC supportive health care practioner and came across Dr Sandeep Chaddha from Motherhood hospital Noida, (angel on the earth), during my first consultation when I met her I experienced her positive vibes & charismatic nature, she listened my first birthing experience so patiently, she guided me so well when I discussed about my current birthing plans and my determination to have normal delivery after csec, I discussed everything with her at length, she supported my choice and assured me that she will definitely help me to achieve my dream to deliver my baby through normal delivery, she talked to me at length about possibilities of successful VBAC, offered me support, I got strength by listening to her, she always encouraged me that Mothers know how to give birth and our (Women) bodies are made for that. That one conversation boosted me up with confidence. She didn't scare me like other health practioners nowdays believe that once a C-section always a Ceserian, She is full of positively, very caring & incredibly sensitive to birthing mothers & their families.

She always gives ample time to her patients and gives them enough time to discuss their concerns. She is very approachable, always available on calls, Whatsapp etc, always clear the doubts & question of the mother's with her patience & love, her words of encouragement & positivity throughout my pregnancy period immensely helped me to have a successful VBAC. She suggested me to join Prenatal yoga and Lamaze child birth session which really helped my body to prepare for labour & child birth.

As a doctor, you have gone above and beyond everything, I ever would have expected. The world would be a much better place if all of the doctors were like you. Thank you so much for everything that you have done mam, If a women is supported by right care providers, every birth will be beautiful.
