The clinic is situated in the epicenter of Mumbai: Andheri. Dr. Rajul s Parikh did his basic eye training from Christian Medical College & Hospital (known as CMC, Vellore) under renowned prof. Ravi Thomas. After finishing her basic eye training at Patiala Medical College, Dr. Shefali R Parikh did her Glaucoma Fellowship from World Renowned IV Prasad Eye Institute. Subsequently, both went to Lund University, Sweden for their further glaucoma fellowship. After coming back both joined l V Prasad Eye Institute as a consultant and stayed in Hyderabad for 4 years. They shifted back to Mumbai in 2007 end. Subsequently, Dr. Rajul S Parikh joined Bombay city Eye Institute & Research Center as head, department of glaucoma. Here he also started the department of clinical research and was appointed the first head of the department. Dr. Shefali R Parikh joined Lotus Eye Hospital as head of the Glaucoma department. Throughout these years they both realized the glaucoma awareness among common people was very poor. In Mumbai, they also realized that there was no glaucoma center which can act as “The Tertiary Care Center For Glaucoma Management” as well as for the development of newer management strategies and tools. From this, the idea of starting “Shree Ji Eye Clinic & Palak’s Glaucoma Care Center” was born. The clinic has state of the art ophthalmic facility with a special facility for glaucoma diagnosis and management. Over the years both doctors have earned the reputation of being the best glaucoma specialist for their scientific work with human touch and are getting referrals where even fellow eye surgeons, as well as glaucoma surgeons, send their complicated cases for treatment. I also undergo bi- monthly check up for silent (open) angle Glaucoma and my both the eyes have been operated for Glaucoma.
