There were hardly any private Charitable Hospitals in those days and the Trustees made a small beginning with 24 beds. This was made possible by Thackersey Family, who donated substantial amount in 1931 and formed a Charitable Trust and started the hospital in Mumbai for the benefit of poor and middle class. Within a short span of 4 years the hospital moved into an imposing new building with the devotion and perseverance of Dr. Jadhavji Hansraj and a magnanimous contributions by Seth Vallabhdas Cursondas Natha who not only donated his estate at Tardeo but also gave Rs. 4 lakhs towards cost of construction of the new building in 1935, which accommodated 100 beds, a fourfold growth in just four years. In 1935 to 1964, a further step in expansion was completed with the addition of one more floor to the existing building, to accommodate a wing of well-equipped Operation Theatres, an Intensive Care Unit, Physiotherapy section and some Deluxe Rooms. Mission Our mission is to provide high-quality care and service to our patients. We will do this with unrelenting attention to clinical excellence, respect and integrity in all aspects of our operations and our professional conduct. We will offer compassionate and loving service to patients for faster healing. …read less

I was told I would never walk like before or have kids by other doctors. Then my sister found Dr Vengsarkar after 2months of being in pain n on no result but being used by interns to practice on me at a govt hospital. Dr Vengsarkar was an angel in disguise and worked on my case and prepared me and my family mentally to understand my situation and to make a decision on my surgery backing it up with pros n cons. He analyzes the situation and doesn't just jump into conclusions like the others did before I met Dr Vengsarkar. I will always be thankful to you. you are my Saviour tbh. Couple of years ago I started having issues with my lower back and was told to go through a surgery by some doctor and try physio. I immediately took an appointment with Dr Vengsarkar, and he only said Beta just lose a lil weight and asked me to perform an exercise. It's been 9 yrs today I havent visited another doctor* **** *** ** * ******** *** will not make a hole in your pocket. I STONGLY RECCOMEND DR SURESH VENGSARKAR.Read less
