So I met her after my pregnancy got confirmed. It was onset of covid and strict regulations put by government. Second week of March. I had met another doctor for my first scans and check up in Mumbai and to me and my family’s horror she was everything wrong that a doctor should be. Coming back to Dr. Nina my first scans showed a 9mm sub-chorionic haemorrhage which the previous doctor scared me enough for. Dr. Nina on the other hand was positive and genuine is her approach from my first meeting with her, without even blinking an eye regarding my report and low haemoglobin she assured me that everything is normal and there is nothing to worry about and put absolutely no restrictions on anything, neither food nor day to day physical activities. Her aura puts you in a celebratory mode towards your pregnancy and eases any doubts or fears (Especially if its your first pregnancy)that most of the doctors Derive negativity out of, she not only frees you out of the societal pressures around pregnancy stigmas but also gives you a very calculated and only necessary steps and solutions to follow. I am highly satisfied and happy that I found her on practo and strongly recommend her for any treatment that falls under her specialisations. You will feel that it’s a cakewalk and if she is treating you then you are in the safest hands that there is after your supreme god and mother. Even with covid lockdown and restrictions she took video appointments, consultations (free of costs that too, too generous for a doctor in todays world) She takes you as her responsibility as much as your are responsible for your own body or the baby growing inside it. She pushes for normal delivery that is another difference as compared to the practices been in trend nowadays. You just are blessed if you are on this page reading about her if all this didnt help you make your mind then what will. Also many people have complained about her not spending enough time even when they have paid for the appointment my answer to that will be it’s good that she doesnt because that means everything is in control and nothing needs Extra attention. Trust me when I say she really knows her job and in no case is ignoring you or your concerns. Just follow her blindly. Wishing you all a good journey and great pregnancies. Enjoy it. Hello everyone.

I and my husband are happy and excited to announce the arrival of our lovely little Princess on 10th of April 2020 in our family.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Nina Mam and the wonderful staff at both "Touch of Life" clinic and Jehangir Hospital.

To be honest, we don’t have enough words to express how grateful, thankful and obliged we are to that almighty who showed us the path to Dr Nina Mam.

Our journey:

1. May 2019: When we saw her for pre-pregnancy counselling. After seeing all my reports, she suggested us to go for an IVF since I had some blockages in fallopian tubes. I, still remember that it was a huge decision which was supposed to be taken by us at that time. But, we did not doubt Dr Nina’s vision for our case, even just meeting her for the very first time. It was like if God was making decisions for us through Dr Nina. Since she doesn’t do IVF on her own, she suggested one of the best doctors of Pune for the same.

2. June-August 2019: We consulted the doctor suggested by Dr Nina, and guess what, our IVF was successful in the first attempt with the grace of that almighty.

3. From September 2019:

3.1. We again started consulting Dr Nina mam for my pregnancy. During this time, it was discovered that I had a low line placenta. Furthermore, in the first week of October, I suffered a mild fever; responding to which Dr Nina suggested me to get admitted to Jehangir so as to control the rise in body temperature which otherwise could have resulted in the contraction of Uterus and cause the unwanted. She and her team in those 3-4 days treated and cured me with the best way. Later on, she did the Os’ Tightening of mine, to avoid any possible complications due to the low line placenta.

3.2. Later on, in the same month, we had a good report for the anomaly scan. But, in the following screening test, the foetus was tested positive for probable Down syndrome. Dr Nina suggested us to have the Amniocentesis done and on the other hand, she told us not to worry. Guess what, after the reports came, it was clear that there were no abnormalities in the developing fetus.

3.3. As the pregnancy progressed, my placenta also attained a considerably higher position.

3.4. Everything went so smooth under the guidance of Dr Nina.

4. Last Weeks of pregnancy:

Since I conceived through IVF, Dr Nina was in no mood to take any risks in the end and told us that she won’t wait for the baby to get delivered after 39 weeks. So she suggested me to get admitted at 38+6 Weeks. Moreover, she told us that she will try for normal delivery once, if not possible then we must be ready for C-Section.

5. The Afternoon of 10th April 2020

We were blessed with our little angel through LSCS.

I and my husband were on route to Tough of Life clinic. We discussed so many things which we thought we would ask Dr Nina. But after the consultation, her beautiful smile mesmerized us in such a way that we forgot what we were supposed to ask her.

Here is how Dr. Nina saved our lives.

Background - Before consulting Dr. Nina, we already had consulted 2 well known Gynaecologists (Motherhood and Individual Clinic), 3 gastroenterologist, 1 physician and 1 dermatologist. It took them weeks to diagnose the problem we were facing (cholestasis of pregnancy). We started observing symptoms of the problem in early 21st week of pregnancy but the treatment started late 24th Week.

Challenge - In ‘cholestasis of pregnancy’ the bile acid level in blood increase and it is dangerous for the foetus. Normal range for bile acid level in blood varies between 0-10 whereas acceptable danger level is till 30-40. Unfortunately in our case there was a point where the bile acid level in blood reached 156. This was the tipping point where our initial doctor gave up and refused to continue treatment. She asked us to move on to some other doctor as this case was too complicated. Her argument was that C-section is not possible as we are on blood thinner and we can’t go off the blood thinner as the increased bile acid level in blood would be dangerous for the foetus.

Solution - At the time when our existing doctor didn’t want to continue our case, we reached out to the most senior Gynaecologists of Pune. On one hand the other Gynaecologists asked us to do more tests, Dr. Nina accepted the diagnosis and started with the treatment. She asked us to get admitted in hospital for monitoring. She initiated the course to lower the bile level while also preparing for surgery in case needed. She continuously monitored both the patient and foetus through regular NSTs, LFTs, sonography and other tests etc.. Eventually the bile acid levels came down to 11. With the lower bile acid level we got discharged from Hospital but Dr. Nina continued monitoring our case. For the next 1.5 month, we were regularly in touch with doctor. We had regular tests to monitor the situation. Later at the start of the 37th Week (9th Month), based on Dr. Nina’s advice we went for pain induction and had a natural delivery.

Conclusion - From a point of time where doctor gave us 50-50 survival chances of foetus to finally going for normal delivery we have been through a lot in this pregnancy journey. Needless to say that this safe and happy ending was impossible without Dr. Nina. She and her team went beyond their duties to save our lives. She was always available via Call / WhatsApp to answer any query.

Gratitude - No words would ever be enough to express our heartfelt gratitude towards Dr. Nina for bringing our little boy to this world through normal delivery. Lots of love and gratitude to her and all the staff at the clinic and Jehangir. ****** *** **** ****** * **** **** ******* Have confidence on her and she will bring positive news for sure. Thank you mam for everything :)

Sometimes Goddess herself appears on this planet to bring babies to humans.

Words are less to describe Dr. Nina. She is a super strong individual and a warrior at the same time. I remember the starting days of COVID back in feb of this year, Dr. Nina had messaged to all in the "Mommys to be group", "you people do not worry about your delivery I will make sure none of you will remain stranded". This assurance was such strong moral support for us. I have seen Dr Nina through this phase. I doubt if she has ever slept a day without visiting one of her hospitals.

Now our story :

We started to visit Dr. Nina in Feb(14th Week) for our second baby (Our first baby was also delivered by Dr. Nina back in 2017 at Jehangir and it was a normal delivery, hence Dr Nina was our obviious choice).

By the history of previous delivery in 2017, I had thought it would all go normal but in the 24th-week scan, doc found that her OS tightening was required. We got the same done.

In the 29th week scan of June 20, the doc again found that baby was moving downwards instead of moving upwards. Doc immediately admitted her without any COVID tests (Thanks to the doc and the hospital of course). The situation looked supercritical and we were super tense as it appeared as though delivery would happen in the 29th Week. Doc recommended steroids for the baby's lungs to develop asap. My wife was discharged after 2 days with complete bed rest instructed by Dr. Nina.

Days went by and I prayed to god at least my wife should complete 32 weeks. By the end of 32 weeks, Dr Nina hoped we should complete 34 weeks. By 34th week , Dr said lets hope for next two weeks. By the end of 36th week, I started to feel better and confident that my wife was out of danger. Indeed, we reached 37 weeks , then 38 weeks and now the doc said "Neha we were really worried as your situation looked like a premature delivery in the 29th week, Now I am really glad you are on time, also I do not see any signs of labor until next 2 weeks and now you should more squats, climbing the stairs and walking for 2 hours every day" :)

By the end of 39 weeks , doc asked us to get the COVID test done so she could plan the delivery by the due date (17th Sept)

On the morning of 17th Sept(the due date stated by the doc during our first visit in the Feb of 2020), my son in sleep gently hit her mom's tummy, she had some water discharge. After an hour she informed me about it. Immediately I called up Dr Nina and started for the hospital. Her Covid test was to be done the same day, however, we did not have time to do that.

The docs showed no signs of hesitation in attending to my wife(she had no covid test report).

After an hour from her admission at 10AM, Dr Nina informed me that Neha was showing very good signs of labor and they would try for a normal delivery by 4PM or so. At 1.13 PM while having lunch, the security lady knocked at my door and informed that I have been called and that delivery was already done. I was super surpised as how it could be possible so quickly. In the labor room the assisting doc arrived with a lovely baby girl who was born at 12:57Pm , 3.3 KGs and best part of all a normal delivery. Dr Nina was super happy that Neha had her delivery in just 2.5 hours and a normal one.

Dr Nina hence was able to do normal delivery for both my kids.

All the events since the start of it started to flash. My wife has been through so much through this period and it would not have been possible without Dr Nina's commitment motivation support and guidance. She is indeed a gem of a person and words are too less to describe her.

Me and my hubby Gaurav, would like to announce that on 07-Jul, we were blessed with a baby boy here at Columbia Asia hospital ☺️. It was via a C-section, and Ma'am led the whole procedure with ease, perfection and care, as always!

Our journey of pregnancy hasn't been an easy one, and had it not been Nina Ma'am guiding us at every step, we probably would've given up at some point of time.

We're bursting with emotions at the moment, and so would like to share what it's like to be on a tough journey with a doctor like Nina Ma'am☺️🙏🏻

Until 2019, we've had a history of miscarriages back to back, and everytime during the 8-9th week of gestation, radiologists would conclude that there is no heartbeat, and we used to come back home heart-broken and devastated. It was during the third miscarriage, that one of our family friends advised us to consult Dr. Nina Ma'am. We went to meet her with our latest USG scans, in which the radiologist had confirmed a miscarriage.

We had lost all hopes, I broke into tears in front of Ma'am, she stood up and hugged and consoled me like a mother would. She explained what's going wrong and assured that the next pregnancy under her guidance will be a successful one. As we were so much depressed, we had a lot of doubts and questions, but Ma'am just asked us to follow her instructions and all will be fine. She inspired total confidence in us and it laid the foundation of the starting point for confronting the depression we were going through.

Ma'am gave us the date for D&E procedure, and on that day while entering the OT, I asked her if this will be my last such procedure. She said yes she will never let me go through this again. That was my "Touch of Life" moment.

After I recovered, we planned our next pregnancy and went straight to Ma'am once the pregnancy test was positive again. Ma'am had the perfect plan ready for us, and we just very very blindly followed that. She had been very caring throughout, and never let us feel fear for any complications that arose during the pregnancy. For every deviation, she would just say- "We will get it resolved Sweetie, you don't have to worry!"

You really did get it resolved for us Ma'am, we were blessed with a handsome little baby boy on 7th of Jul, 2020, and only if our prayers from me and my family were being answered, you were the force behind them. We can't ever be thankful enough for whatever you have done for us Ma'am, your "Touch" really has given me and my family a new "Life"!

It's been a journey with you Dr Nina 💕 after two major miscarriages one at 22 wks n the other at 28 wks...when I had absolutely no hope, I was shattered.. my 13 yr old said, " mom u go to the hospital, but u never bring a baby back....I keep waiting"....I wanted to fall to dust🙋you came like a bright spark and became my guiding light.....being diabetic... combating thyroid...and a weak uterus....the mouth of which would open with a sneeze.....previous failed C-section...Soo tender......the way u wholeheartedly walked me through my pregnancy is indeed commendable 😍😍you were my 3 am friend...every time I would have the heebie jeebies ...from calming me down to being my fiercest critic...when my sugars would rise....and the way you made me write declarations...I appreciate how u encouraged my daughter to welcome a baby after 14 Long years..... teenage being a crucial phase of her life🙆......No DR has been as accommodating as u....ur regular follow up calls even at midnight....what I admire about u is u are literally...on the family way with ur patients 😚😚😚😚😚ur dedication, sincerity and remarkable efforts will surely throw open the doors of success before you........ thank you😘🙏🙏🙏 seems very tiny....in front of the little bundle of joy....who came like a rockstar..(I don't know..how all ur babies are the cutest).....my family is now complete..... and fervently prays for ur prosperity .....we love you..

Hope is everything is what we have learnt from Mam

I delivered a baby boy under mam treatment. When we first met mam in 2017, I was undergoing treatment under another gynae and was pregnant which didn't turn up positive for us and I had miscarriage.

It was bizarre for us, first pregnancy after 4 yr of marriage and having no family around. I am glad and forever be grateful to my fate that I met Mam!

I had to undergo D&C  and still remember, mam said Sweetie don’t worry you will have your baby one day. After few months I again got pregnant but it didn't work out as well and we really had stopped thinking about family way. It was only our meetings with mam which gave us positivity and hope that there will be a day for us too! Due to personal family issues, our planning got way too delayed and we got busy in other things. It was 2019 when we again met mam after a gap of a yr and she recommended Laparoscopy and then the  journey started once again. Finally after rounds of doc visits, fertility treatment etc. I got that 2 lines! I knew it was not going to be easy looking at my previous history but was positive and stress-free only because of Mam. I never questioned and kept following what Mam suggested. My husband is one worrier person and I will always be thankful to Mam who kept her patience and address all his worries throughout pregnancy! 😀

Trust me it is not possible to find doc like Mam anywhere who bond with her patients like family. Each and every girl is priority for her and it is not easy to always  keep personal commitments aside to consistently take care of all her girls.

Mam has also manage a superb support group for all her pregnant girls and new Mommies in form of watsapp grp which help everyone connected, informed and share the experiences of beautiful yet challenging journey of motherhood.

Thank you is a very small word for everything you have done for us,  you were and will always be a mother, sister, friend like figure for me.

With this post we express our most sincere gratitude as we both welcomed our baby girl on Friday early morning under Dr Nina. This was our second delivery under her and words shall never be enough to say a Thank You. We would like to specifically mention one incident of this time. Just six days before the delivery it was our regular follow up visit and were asked to see her after NST. We went for NST and results were somehow not good. Baby was moving too much and showing pseudo distress pattern. When the team in labor room sent the same to Nina mam, she was not satisfied so they did it again. Again results were not too good. Mam examined internally and was satisfied to some extant but still to rule out any doubt she advised to get it done third time with the words 'sorry you ll have to spare some more time and for my satisfaction get it done one last time then you may go home'. We got it done after a good lunch at the canteen, results were good. When I went to show it to her she hugged me tight and said now it's ok. The happiness that flickered through her eyes was unmatched and I was amazed to see her devotion towards her duty. During both of our journeys we have seen her very closely. she is a tough task master for her team but at the same moment the most loving mother for all the moms to be. She knows the difficulties that may come for each one of us but still keeps us stress free with her words and gestures. We are calling our daughter 'Ina', borrowing a part of her name, in the hope that whatever field she chooses for her in future, she ll carry a part of the devotion and dedication of The Doctor Who brought her to the world that is you Nina mam. The below does not do justice to what Dr. Nina and Dr Saket have done for us. In spite of we being miles away, their guidance and cross continent advice has finally given us our much awaited rainbow baby. 🌈

After 2 miscarriages in UK, I was recommended to seek guidance from Dr. Nina.

We reached out for an online consultation and instantly knew that she understood and empathised with our plight. After that we had series of conversations and agreed a fertility plan.

We flew to India, during the pandemic, so we could be under her guidance and that was the ***best decision we ever made***💯

She was hands on with our antenatal care and always went the extra mile and was cognizant of the fact that we need a treatment that could transcend in UK.

Dr Saket was equally fantastic and was always there to answer our questions.

After two miscarriages, you get anxious and every small thing worries you. Dr Nina calmed my nerves down and we wouldn't have been able to get our bundle of joy without her sheer determination and constant encouragement.

Once I got back to UK after 21 weeks, she always kept checking on me and also had a mini session on types of labour and what would be better for me.

We had to make some hard choices as had a breech baby and tried her recommendations and our baby moved. 🎉

I took her guidance as gold dust and continued with squats, lunges and walks. My waters broke naturally and our little baby arrived safe and sound in UK !!

We are incredibly grateful for her guidance and our hearts are filled with gratitude as neither time zones nor geographical boundaries are a barrier for her !
