Dr. Amrita Rao

I was made to wait 1.5 hrs. despite making a prior appointment. After repeated questing at the counter, they told me 10 mins each time. Finally, when the doctor comes, she gives exactly 5 mins (recorded in my stopwatch) and writes down few tests. gets up and leaves.

That’s not acceptable for a paid service.

No apologies for making the patient wait for so long, no briefing from the past consultation.

Although the doctor seems friendly, I guess she wasn't in the right mood when i visited her.

Hearing her voice announce my babies’ birth gave me immense comfort and relief. After the delivery, she personally spoke to me and explained how the surgery went and what could have happened if there had been any delay. It was my first pregnancy and we consulted Dr. Amrita throughout pregnancy. Delivery was also done by her.

Finally, she tried and gave her best for me to get normal delivery done. Never impatient and didn't give up on me.

Throughout the consultation period, our genuine concerns were often met with dismissive or curt responses. Deeply disappointed by Dr. Amrita Rao’s dismissive and outdated approach. I came in clearly stating I was struggling with perimenopause and had a decade-long history of treated depression. I strongely recomment this doctor for gynec issues. I had an issue with my endometrium lining which was quite complicated. She helped me with understanding the problem as I had visited two more doctors earlier and they had suggested me to undergo chemo as the reports were inappropriate/ ambiguous. Amrita mam was the one who asked to get it retested since the report was ambiguous/not clear. After retest/reassessment she prescribed me appropriate medicines and it was successful. I conceived naturally post that, however I had twin babies and to my bad luck both of them didn’t have heartbeat and had to abort it. She helped me get through this physical & emotional stress. Now we are blessed with a lovely baby gal, not to mention again, we consulted her again for our pre and post delivery care. Our baby is healthy, her medicine prescriptions were accurate, and was always available for any of my medical issues over phone/whatsapp. Kudos to Amrita mam. She is a busy doctor in this city, so please don’t expect any casual talks, she talks strictly to the point. Some people feel she is rude but she isn’t so. Even in OT during the surgery, she held my hand and was very encouraging, filling all the confidence that I was losing out looking at so many people there. She said it’s gonna be alright and it was all right!!! Thank you Amrita for standing beside me in this difficult journey of mine!!

I will recommend her with eyes shut.She is no less than God for us. I regret that I went to her very late when I was 5 months pregnent, I had lot of complications n it was high risk pregnancy with high sugar.the way she took care n explained everything and told us how to go about it was very helpful. We were very scared till we met her but the whole pregnancy experience changed .she was available on call and what's app whenever I needed.Only because of the Dr.Amrita i had a 'healthy' late pre term baby,she is 5 months old now.Thanks a lot doctor.

Not a very good experience with her. Not very welcoming. I felt she is very mechanical, too professional atleast for the first time maternity consultation. I was expecting a warmth and caring approach from her as a obstetrician. Considering her experience and expertise *** **** ** *** ***** but never felt really pleased talking to her.

my wifes had mumps infection during pregnancy.other dotors already said we have to terminate this child since mumps is very bad during pragnancy.but the way she had advised us its amazing.finally we came out with this issue & got our lovely daughter Aaditri....Thank you very much Amrita Mam..God Bless you.for us u is GOD only

Though the Doctor seems to be not so free and easy to discuss about, outside the medical box, what we non-medicos generally have and do not understand, however would recommend her as Doctor knows the condition of the patient very well and do the best. She has taken care well enough of my wife and baby throughout out the 9 Months.
