My Journey to Motherhood

Where do I start? It’s a very difficult and long journey to becoming a Mother. I have been married for 9 years now. I am from Bangalore and moved to Pune in 2011. We were trying to become parents from last 7 years and life has taught us a lot in this journey.

Due to some reasons we were unable to conceive naturally and IVF was the only option we were left with. We tried our treatment in one of the biggest hospital in Pune but we were left disappointed as we faced 3 IUI failures and 4 IVF failures. I don’t know till date how I managed to overcome that phase as I was emotionally and physically drained and I was always sad. It started affecting me in every aspect of my life. But the only thing that I had in my mind was I want to be a mother and I was very clear I do not want to adopt or go in for surrogacy.

By Gods grace and by sheer luck I happened to see the hoarding of Surya Hospital in July 2015 while I was travelling. Once I reached home I just did some ground work about the hospital and IVF team over there. I had heard a lot about Dr. Anil Chittake and wanted to meet him for my treatment. I realised that he is part of the Surya team. Without wasting time I took the first available appointment and met him.

I started my treatment with Dr. Chittake in the same month. He made sure that he counselled me and brought me to normalcy before starting the treatment. His way of treating is extremely systematic. He knows what he is doing and he tells you everything beforehand. With him you are sure that he is not leaving things to chance or luck. I am no one to comment on medical procedures and processes but what I know and what I have experienced is Dr. Chittake is just fantastic at his job. He is very caring and very polite. He feels for his patients like any family member would feel. Iam lucky to have him in my life. I met him at a stage when I was emotionally broken and had lost faith in many things. I was able to conceive in the very first IVF Cycle that he attempted but unfortunately that cycle and the next one resulted in miscarriages. He had tried everything possible and I was sure that it was just bad luck and God wanted me to wait a little longer.

We tried frozen ET in the month of Oct 2016 and by God’s grace that cycle resulted in successful pregnancy. In this pregnancy also I had to face some challenges – selective embryo reduction, OS tightening, sugar and thyroid issues and preterm delivery. *** ******** *** **** **** * *** ***** *** **** ******** ********* *** **** ** *** *** ******* *** ********** He was more like family to me than a doctor. He did everything possible to make sure this pregnancy leads to healthy live birth of the babies.

Today am a proud mother of 2 beautiful souls – my son Mivaan and my daughter Mihika. They bring me a lot of joy and happiness. Once I am with them I forget all the stress and problems I had gone through to get them in this world. They are my life and I cannot imagine how I would live if they would not be with me.

I want to thank Chittake Sir and his wonderful team at Embrio – Alokji, Sandhya Sister, Sharada ji and every one there who helped me in the toughest phase of my life. They were my pillars of strength and motivation. They gave me confidence and helped me overcome negativity, I will forever be thankful to them. Embrio is not a clinic to me. It’s like home and they are my extended family.

I never imagined that it will be difficult for me to conceive. I had been totally healthy and fit all through my childhood and adult life and my periods were also regular. It was our mutual decision after marriage to wait for some time so that we could both settle down in our carriers and get prepared for parenthood.

When we were finally ready it came to me as a surprise that I could not conceive because of a condition called PCOD. I researched about the condition and realised it was very common in women of my age and it can be treated or managed. I was consulting Dr. Sowmya at the time and we tried all the conventional methods to overcome the symptoms of PCOD and conceive naturally. Managing diet, healthy lifestyle, supplements etc and regular ovulation study. We tried this for over two years and every month the pain was unbearable when I got my periods. In my ovulation study everything was normal and with the help of Letoval tablet I was able to ovulate in every cycle but still I could not conceive. Unable to console me any further Dr. Sowmya suggested that we go and meet Dr Anil Chitake.

Dr Chitake went through our file and with confidence asked us to give him a year's time. I remember my first appointment was in October 2018 and I conceived on October 2019. Though it took exactly one year for me to conceive but it was not only my pregnancy that I gained at embrio. It was my confidence, my self-esteem and above all, after a long time I could feel totally normal.***** ******* ** ************ *** ** *** **** ****** ** **** ** **** ******** The care and love his team extend to every patient feels very personal and helps to bear the pain of the entire process. From the very first day I could trust him, speak with him freely and no matter how busy his day is, Dr will never rush through your conversations with him. He will listen to your every word and will clear your every doubt. Will pay utmost importance and care to your every concern. I went through hyperstimulation at one stage which was fatal, and I could sense the tension on his face. The pain was unbearable but Doctor Chitake stood by my side, made me relax and sensing the urgency took all necessary steps to relieve me from pain.

Not only in conceiving but Dr. Chitake supported us all through our pregnancy. I had a preterm delivery at seven months in another hospital due to a condition called Pre-Eclampsia. But Dr Chitake was always reachable whenever we needed support or second opinion. Even the issues that my gynec could not understand or resolve were so easily rectified by Dr. Chitake. I have always felt Fatherly care in his treatment, and I am sure every other patient feels the same. My Daughter is now 15 Months old and is totally healthy and fine.

I also take this opportunity to thank all the supporting staff who demonstrated same level of care and support as that of Dr. Chitake.

We have been consulting with Dr. Chittake since August 2015. We had been trying to conceive for almost 3 years, been to multiple leading OBGYNs across Pune without any success. Each Doctor ran us through a battery of tests but failed to correctly diagnose the underlying issue. A mutual friend referred us to Dr Anil Chittake who at the time worked from Surya Hospital and the old Embrio Clinic opposite Enfield Showroom on Baner Road.

From the outset, Dr Chittake inspired confidence. He was able to correctly diagnose the issue (adenomyosis, endometriosis) in the first 2 visits itself. Dr. Chittake was thorough, scientific, and always answered all our questions patiently and in detail. His process was to methodically eliminate all underlying problems that were preventing pregnancy – something we did not see with the other doctors we consulted with. Our case was exceptionally difficult, but never once did Dr Chittake make us feel that way. After exhausting other options (natural, 2 rounds of IUI), Dr Chittake advised IVF. IVF is a long drawn-out and draining process – but with the Embrio Clinic, the staff and Doctors made it very comfortable. More than anything, the experience, sophistication, attention to detail and scientific process made us feel that we are ALWAYS in safe hands. The path was not simple, it took time and had multiple twists and turns. At every turn, Dr Chittake knew how to handle it – a testament to his vast experience and expertise in this field. Our first born, Zoya, was delivered by Dr Chittake in March 2018. Dr Chittake also advised post Caesarean delivery care and ensured that my wife recovery was smooth and quick.***** ****** ****** ** ***** ** *** ** *** **** ** ***** It has the state-of-the-art equipment and a fully functional procedure room for IUI, IVFs etc. All tests needed for treatment can be administered at the clinic itself either inhouse or through their tie-up with pathology labs. The attention to detail is visible in all areas – modern hi-tech machines that are very comfortable for ladies, extremely hygienic rest rooms, pleasant and ample seating area, ample supply of sanitizers and air purifiers etc. The nursing staff is cordial, hospitable and knowledgeable; our personal experience with Sandhya, Reshma and Priyanka Sisters has been exceptional. Their presence and smiles always calmed and reassured us even when we were most anxious or distressed.

Dr Chittake has a vast network of expert Doctors, sonographers, labs, and hospitals who he consults and refers to for issues that need specialist intervention and care. From our experience, we found that these referrals were also of the same high quality as Dr Chittake and his Embrio Clinic.

Overall, I would highly recommend Dr Chittake and Embrio Clinic. Our experience has been wonderful and completely life changing. We continue to consult with Dr Chittake as my wife’s gynecologist. As many as 5 of our close couple friends have also consulted with Dr Chittake, been successful and now have children.

I visited Dr. Rahul Patil, and my experience was very good. He was patient, attentive, and explained my condition clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident about the treatment. The consultation was smooth, and he addressed all my concerns without rushing. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the care and guidance I received.

I started my journey at Embrio exactly one year ago and today, I am a mother of beautiful twins- a boy & a girl. Dr Anil Chittake is hands down the best doctor you will ever find.

I went to Embrio last year after wasting around six months at one of the most renowned gynaecologist in Pune, where I ended up with 3 failed IUI’s; the doctor hardly had time to give any personal attention because of having lots of patients.

When I went to Embrio, it was a different experience altogether, the entire staff is very friendly and warm, Dr Anil Chittake gives personal attention to each patient and their detailed history; he gave me an option of another IUI attempt or IVF, and we decided to go ahead with IVF. For someone who is extremely scared of injections, I would say that the entire IVF journey was seamless and the injections did not hurt (thanks to the skilled nurses). They also offered free counselling sessions with psychologists if needed as IVF journey could be emotional for many couples. I conceived in my first IVF cycle and I cannot be more grateful to Dr Anil and Dr Rahul for that.

My pregnancy follow-ups continued with Anil sir , I used to go with a list of questions each time and he used to answer them all calmly.

There were some doppler changes identified in my third trimester ultrasound with chances of preterm delivery; although I did deliver preterm but Dr Anil pushed the delivery date as much as possible to ensure that both the babies’ growth is not hampered.

I am extremely thankful and grateful to Dr Anil, Dr Rahul and the entire staff of Embrio who gave me the most precious gift of my life - my 2 little munchkins.

I would also like to add that Embrio as a clinic is a gorgeous place with positive vibes - a person wont feel that he has entered a clinic or a hospital , it is as luxurious as a 5 star hotel!

And I am able to say this after getting treated for my endometriosis snd infertilty related problems by Dr. Anil Chittake and his team at Embrio Ivf centre, Baner, Pune.

Since past 8 years of our marriage and trying out of hope I was not able to conceive due to my endometriosis problem. We had tried IUI and other natural treatments but all was in vain. Then from great sources online and my friends advise we came to know about Dr. Anil Chittake's expertise in IVF and we finally gave our last try this year in the month of February 2022 and went ahead with IVF treatment from Dr Anil Chittake. I would say that the trust we had in Dr Chittake and having faith in god and not loosing hope I was very calm and had full faith and confidence on the treatment being delivered. The whole process was very smooth and I followed wholeheartedly all the medicines and treatment as prescribed by Dr Chittake and I also tried to remain stress free during the whole process which is very important for successful IVF.

Me and my husband are very happy to announce the good news to our family and friends and would recommend everyone who are facing infertility related issues to please go to Dr Anil Chittake for the infertility treatment. He is the best in Pune and his whole team of doctors and nurses are very friendly and cooperative and I definitely had an amazing experience.
