Dr. Shailaja Gurujala

One of the senior most Obstetrician & Gynaecologist of the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad with over 40 years of experience in enhancing the chances of childbirth. She has worked as the Principal of Osmania Medical College, Professor of OB-GYN at Osmania & Gandhi Medical colleges. She has managed over 10,000+ pregnancies throughout her career and counting. Her Tryst with Infertility treatment started 25 years ago in 1993 when she got trained at the prestigious Bourn Hall Institute in Cambridge, UK. She trained with Professor Peter Brinsden who was an associate of the Father of IVF, Professor Robert Edwards. Dr. Brinsden was a part of the team that created the 1st IVF baby, Louise Brown. She later enhanced her knowledge on Infertility treatments at Kiel University, Germany and University of Nebraska, USA. She continues to give talks at conferences & conduct CMEs on Infertility treatments across the country. This vast experience of treating 10’s of thousands of patients has helped many women attain motherhood. In the last 6 months alone she has treated 30 women with severe endometriosis of whom 27 (90% success rate) conceived after Laparoscopy and fertility treatment. She is a strong believer that success lies in proper evaluation, counselling, personalized treatment plan & a holistic approach to improve fertility.
