Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah

Dr Anitha Kunnaiah is a one of the well-known and famous gynecologists in Hyderabad with an experience of 16 years working at various positions in various esteemed institutions across India. Currently, Dr Anitha Kunnaiah is a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lap & Infertility specialist at Citizens Specialty Hospital, Hyderabad.Dr Anitha earned her MBBS and DGO (Diploma in OBG) both from the Mysore JSS Medical college in the year 2003 and 2007, respectively. She further pursued DNB from Sagar Hospital, Bangalore in the year 2010. Dr Anitha did fellowship in Laparoscopy and Infertility from the IKDRC Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, 2011.Prior to joining Citizens, Dr Anitha has worked as a consultant, at a reputed multispecialty hospital in Hyderabad. Besides, she has also worked as Assistant Professor in Department of OBG, at SSIMS Medical College, Davanagere, Karnataka.She is one of those clinicians who are passionate about enhancing their knowledge and improving skills in their field and made her to get specialized training in Da Vinci Surgical system in Robotics as a Surgeon from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India in the year 2021.She holds expertise in managing high risk pregnancies, performing procedures such as advanced laparoscopic surgeries, basic and advanced hysterectomy, treating and managing subfertility and infertility problems. Minimal Invasive surgeries, complex laparoscopic surgeries, Laparoscopic Myomectomy & Hysterectomy, Robotic surgery including hysterectomy, myomectomy, Tuboplasty, prolapse, fertility preserving surgeries, Tuboplasty, Endometriosis, are her special interests.Dr Anitha’s professional journey reveals her active participation and interest in fields beyond practice, be it attending various national conferences across the country, presenting posters in conferences, research or academics. Dr Anitha also bagged second prize in a quiz in BSOG CME at NIMHANS convention Centre in Oct 2008. She is a life member of organizations such as ISAR, IAGE and PCOS Society.
