Visited For Joint Replacement Surgery
My mother, aged 70, had been suffering from severe pain in both shoulders for more than 2 years. Movement of both arms was severely restricted. She was unable to lie down, and had to sleep in sitting position. She was unable to undertake normal activities like bathing on her own, cooking etc., and her normal life was disrupted.
Her treatment with injections, drugs and physiotherapy was not of much help, and the pain kept worsening. We made inquires in the medical community, and learnt of Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal as a renowned shoulder specialist & surgeon in Gurgaon / NCR.
We thus approached him for a solution. After evaluating her, he informed us that both the shoulder joints were severely damaged due to osteoarthritis, and advised shoulder replacement for both shoulders. Accordingly, she underwent Total Shoulder Replacement of the right shoulder in April 2019, followed by Reverse Shoulder Replacement in the left shoulder in October 2019. This was the first surgery of its type done in India (Angled BIO RSA). Both the surgeries were respectively followed by a schedule of regular exercises done at home.
She was able to resume her normal routine gradually, and is now (since November 2019) doing her normal activities like bathing, cooking etc. without much issue. She does experience some pain, but it is manageable.
We found the entire experience with Dr. Aggarwal and his team to be extremely positive. He is an extremely knowledgeable and highly focused doctor, with a positive, can do approach. Also we found him to be very sincere and transparent / honest. I think we could not have found a better doctor to treat my mother's condition, even if we had gone abroad. We wish to express our sincere gratefulness to him. I also wish to mention that the Reverse Shoulder Replacement was done by him on very short notice. He spent the entire night before the surgery planning for it, and slept only after the surgery was completed successfully. The entire experience was deeply rewarding for us, and we are deeply grateful.
Also we wish to express our sincere gratefulness to his team members, Dr. Vipul Gupta and Physiotherapist Dr. Amaar Yasir. **** *** **** ****** ************* **** a very positive and helpful approach. It has been very rewarding to talk with and learn from them.

We visited Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal for my mother. She had osteoarthritis in both shoulders for last 3.5 years. She was having continuous 24 Hr pain in both of her shoulders.
We, however, came to know about Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal, renowned orthopedic surgeon specifically shoulder specialist and visited his clinic for consultation. After investigations - X Ray, CT Scan etc, he opined that we do not have much option except going for surgery.
Accordingly, my mother undergone for total shoulder replacement surgery of her right shoulder in July 2018. Thereafter she followed Doctors instructions and was doing daily exercise as suggested from time to time. She had very good recovery in last 4-5 months and by Nov 2018 , pain in her right shoulder has almost disappeared. Now, she has started doing her daily routine activities with her right hand as usual. We are very thankful to Doctor and his team.
We found that Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal to be nice & soft spoken. His behavior is completely transparent. We wish that he may continue doing great job with same sincerity, enthusiasm and in transparent way for the welfare / betterment of human being and as a service to the nation.
May God bless him to reach on top in his professional field.

Very rude behavior, hardly explains the health issue. I visited for my mother's shoulder pain issue and was prescribed a steroid injection. I took the shot but wasn't advised of any possible reactions of the injection. My mother's entire hand got numb for two days. I was told to visit after a week by which the pain should reduce by 70%. Unfortunately, in my mother's case this didn't happen, when we told so to the doctor, not sure why he got annoyed and sort of started shouting at my mother and said that you don't understand your problem and started asking her only as to what she understands about the treatment. He also said this can happen to only 1 out of 100. Now its not my fault if I am that one. ******* ** ***** ** ** **** ********** ** ********* **** *** ********* ****** ** *********** Hardly spent any time in explaining the condition and precautions to be taken.** ***** ** * ********** ****** *** patients would have benefitted, but my experience was very rough. I would expect the doctor to have some empathy towards the patients and treat everyone with respect with a bit more sensitivity towards the senior citizens. While the doctors are considered God and I have a huge respect towards them, however, I do expect them to treat patients also with respect and dignity.

I had a fractured arm and got it plastered in Medanta. I was asked to follow up after 5 days in OPD and since I didn’t got an appointment in Medanta I followed up at his clinic. I was advised in Medanta that the temporary plaster would be replaced by permanent one once the swelling subsided. However it was not changed and I was advised to continue with that which over the next week further loosened up and caused discomfort. The other plaster in my leg was supposed to be taken off and doctor suggested that it looks fine and to my surprise asked me to take it off at my home. ** ** ** ***** **** **** ****** ** *** ** **** ** ******* ************* *** *** ******** ** ***** *** ***** *********** ******* I visited other doctor today *** ** *********** ******* ** ******* ******* ** ** *** ***** *** *** ** ****** ** *** ** ** *** ***** ****** **** ********* *** ***** ** ************* **** ** ****** ***** ******* *** ** ************

Dr Ramankant systemic approach using his clinical super speciality in upper extremities orthopaedic knowledge (one of the unique in India) helped my mothers life better. Dr Ramankant is absolutely transparent for patient needs and requirement of surgeries. One of the MRI report suggested surgery for my mother but Dr Ramankant took extended efforts to deep dive the MRI reports with imaging experts and correlates to it clinical symptoms to avoid surgery need. This is a great example that he is not only a great doctor but a humble human being for rationalising the needs to the patient suffering and holistic empathy towards family‘s financial burden. Sometime his transparent approach towards patients diagnostic may felt offended for being tough and not sugar coated but it is found for the betterment of all. ** ***** *** ********** ** ******** *** ***** ********** understanding of the issue, *** ************* ** *** ********** Am highly thankful to Dr. Ramankant Aggarwal and his team.. for restoring my right shoulder back to functioning.
Self had recurrent pain since around 7 - 8 years, due to an internal injury in 2010 while throwing a ball. That injury seemed to have got cured on its own.. however it left this recurrent pain. Various treatments during the years didn't help.
And in Feb2018, while throwing my slipper on a chasing dog.. tendon of one muscle of my right shoulder got completely detached.
What i was just considering as Pain.. turned out to be a Weak Point of myself !
I was not sure upto what extent it will get cured.. however surgery by Dr. Ramankant and further treatment has greatly helped.. and feels like it's no longer a weak point for myself.

He is rude, *** ** ******* *********** does not tell anything about the medications he is prescribing, is on his phone during the clinic visit, does not follow up if there are questions.
A very difficult person to deal with.
I regret that I didn't Google him before getting an appointment with him. The visit was very stressful. I had to be very patient with him while he was venting out his frustration on me and his juniors over the phone. If he is so overwhelmed by meetings and OT, then keep your OPD days separate. The patients are not sitting over there to be your punching bag while you struggle to balance various aspects of your work.
Please stay away. ** ** *********** **** ******* *** ********** **** *** **** ****** *** **** *** ********** ** *** ******** ***** ** ****** ******* ******* ** ** ** **** * ***** **** ***** ********* ********** ** ******* *********** **** **** ** ******** ** *** ******* ********** ***** ******* **** ****** *** ****** **** ** *** ***********

Happy with: Explanation of the health issue
Went to Dr Raman for a second opinion since the initial treatment was not right (realized after MRI) and changed treatment was not helping. Dr Raman helped identify the issue well, so hoping that the treatment should also help. Currently undergoing treatment. More, when I am well (or not well)
Very perfect, I wish I would have come to him earlier. The operation could have been avoided. My mother is at outstation couldn't show the patient despite he was bang on.
Advice to all who are prescribed for surgery do take a second opinion.
My mother who is 73 years could have avoided the torture of surgery

Doctor is very rude. He doesn't treats his patients well. He can shout at you and start arguing also. After my fracture was treated, and bones joined, I was still feeling the pain in surrounding areas. He simply said I don't know why is it happening. It feels he is for some reason frustrated and keeps taking that frustration out on patients.
