Vision Eye Centre, Sadiq Nagar

For almost a couple of years I have been seeing blurred images and hazy light. It was only in December ’22 middle, that I started my research, to take the plunge to clear my eye cataract. It was my good luck that I discussed my eye issue with good friend Shantanu [a retd. IAS] who spoke to his school friend Dr. Achintya Roy of Kolkata and he in turn suggested his friend, Padma Shri Prof. Dr. Ashok Grover [the famous Delhi based Eye Surgeon, ex- AIIMS]. We visited Vision Eye Centre [VEC] Sirifort Road, New Delhi and met Dr. Grover and got instantly convinced that I have found my Doctor at last!

From mid Dec. ’22 till 1st week of January ’23 I visited three Eye Centre’s and had got requisite experience from what they were saying! Without naming them let me give my points as to why I consider in hindsight it is so important to go to the right place and hands, as it could have damning effects! The first Centre I visited, clearly showed how mercenery they were. The 2nd one was good as they were friendly, totally free for checkups, but they talked of taking up my left eye 1st as it was weak and right eye next. Also they did not mention about my cylindrical power and the Toric lens which I needed to insert. Third Centre I visited, was initially having a reasonable fee but ended with a bang, charging me a big fee for some odd test suggested last minute! Even they too did not suggest the Toric lens for cylindrical power my eyes needed.

My visit to Dr. Ashok Grover set aside all doubts. It was here that I learn’t of Astigmatism i.e. (cylindrical power) and the Toric lens. He was also clear he was going to do my Right eye surgery first and then the Left! The complete approach was so different and convincing that I knew it that I have come to the right place. Further, it will be wrong not to mention that being a senior citizen and a music artiste with no insurance to fall back upon I asked – ‘may I request you for a soft discount.’ I was so touched when I was being discharged I was told that I was being given a discount. Even the 2nd time the discount was repeated. I think this was truly a very rare gesture coming from the great Vision Eye Centre with a wonderful team and staff. First time I found everything so nice … even the O T had classic golden era Hindi film music being played when the eye surgery was on! I was out of wits to hear an Anil Biswas song (my favourite composer) during my 1st eye surgery and S D Burman song in my 2nd. Waah Dr. Grover, I am so happy to have come to you – a big Thankyou !

We keep on taking multiple follow up with him but every time he said that due to surgery it is paining which will vanish as the time passes. We are asked to do the CT scan of my eye and full orbital area so that Dr. Grover can check the position of my implant and why its paining. Surprisingly after seeing the CT scan **** ** ****** ** ******** *** ******* *** said that everything is fine but why eye is paining continuously he unable to answer the always gives false statement and asked me to take steroids tablets and pain killers which quite harmful for health. Dont take any consultation from him as he is not recommended *** ***** ***** ***** **********

My post surgery visit to Dr. Smith Kapoor was very smooth too. Few tests were done ... my pressure test and sight test and found to be getting to normal. I already shared my feedback of my previous day. But post surgery my eyesight has got crystal clear ... only l was looking so far from looking good. I could see every blemish on my face without glasses !! On the whole a great set of pro Doctors, excellent admin and medical staff all of them very efficient and friendly. It was very refreshing and satisfying। Had an elaborate check । Instructions given were very valuable l Medicines prescribed were minimal and for limited period to further close and narrow the gaps। I feel I am in safe hands and shall slowly wriggle out of my issue। I wish her success in her practice so that more patients are benefitted by her treatment। Regards to Dr Grover who has built this edifice to deal with the basic necessity of vision।

I am 84 years old. Due to my advanced age other eyes specialist were hesitant to do my cornea transplant surgery. Dr. Tushar Grover of Vision Eyes Centre did my Cornea transplant surgery in January 2023. The surgery done is successful. My eye sight is improving. Vision Eyes Centre is well equipped with many eyes machines and experienced staff members. Thanks to Dr. Tushar Grover and his team.

The doctor is so friendly..They first do pre checkup and then make us visit to junior doctor and then at last Dr. A.K. Grover meets and interact with the patient and tells them what and how to manage their problem. The doctor make us so comfortable about our problem.

I am 80 years old and the fact that I have had multiple (3) surgeries - for both glaucoma and cataract in both eyes - over the last 3 years at VEC exemplifies the trust I place in Dr A K Grover. ** ** ** ********* ****** * extremely patient, caring and compassionate, and above all highly skilled in his profession. I would definitely recommend him to one and all for their eyecare requirements.

Extremely competent doctor, besides being humble, soft spoken, friendly, ever smiling and a very pleasant person. She made me feel very comfortable before, during and after surgery. Her personality has a rub-off effect on the entire support staff as well, who too ensured that my experience at Vision Eye Centre was a very pleasant one. I highly recommend Dr. Smita and Vision Eye Centre to anyone needing eye care.

I found Dr. A. K. Grover extremely friendly and determined to induce the desired confidence in me completely ruling out the possibility of Glaucoma and at the time diagnosis thoroughly examined the condition of eyes from all standard angles. He even clearly ruled out the need to get any test done as well.

Dr Tushar is best Cornea Specialist, I have met so far. He is very humble and patient. He gives you the best and genuine advice and will not guide you for some money.
