Dr Pooja is doing practice from 22 years now. If session get extended the patient need to co-operate as counseling sessions are sensitive and doctor can't leave the patient inbetween. If you were asked to wait ,it must be urgent and need of the patient, who was siting with the doctor . Before session if you were not informed that in Rohini it is a residential clinic we apologise. Main office ( formal office ) is at Tilak Nagar. Kindly visit us there. Doctor visit both places even in corona ( in her residential clinic) so that patient in rohini don't suffer and have to travel long till tilak nagar. Still thanks for your feedback.

On behalf of Doctor pooja, I Sumiti Gupta will like  to bring to your notice the recent feedback where the concerns raised by the patient's husband were: *1. The Rohini clinic being the residential clinic* The person is just raising this as an issue just as a pressure tactic. Rohini being a residential clinic is clearly called out on Practo listing as well as in all the WhatsApp communications with all the clients (including this one). Rohini residential clinic is just for the convenience of the patients who find it a bit far to come to our Tilak Nagar clinic. Moreover we are a private clinic, operating from 2 places in New Delhi, a residential set up & clinic in a commercial marketplace area in Tilak Nagar. There are no major differences irrespective of both the set ups. We believe that we have a fairly good track record when it comes towards treatment of various mental illnesses over the years.  Many of the doctors who have an experience of more than 20+ years operate from homes/ residences, hospitals or clinics set up in commercial marketplaces. May be this client is not aware that many of the senior doctors, from psychologists to medical practitioners  including gynecologists, dentists, laproscopic surgeons, eye specialists etc. operate from their residential clinics in Vasant Vihar, Greater Kailash, Anand Niketan, Safdarjung Enclave, Karol Bagh etc. since ages in New Delhi. Nationally & Internationally institutions are functioning in this way.  *2. Fees for an hour-long session being a bit high (₹2500)* Again the consultation fee is clearly posted on Practo as well; being ₹1000 for 20 mins session and it was clearly communicated to the client about the session being extended due to the patient's need at that moment. The patient being a depression patient required more consultation time and doctors' support to better understand the issues she is facing and proper guidance to better manage her emotional state. Though the doctor has the slots lined up back to back but given the patient's need the priority is always given to the current session in progress. This was intimated to the patient about his exceeding time in the session by the assistant there and then twice. So, the session was extended with his knowledge.   Further, while we spoke to the patient's husband about his feedback we learned that he is upset with the fees he had to pay (not with the consultation and help his wife received) and didn't say that time. Out of his repressed rage he put it here. Currently psychological counseling / psychotherapy performed by an experienced  psychologist ( more than 20 years) in a Private Sector costs starts from Rs. 3000/- minimum depending on the therapies being administered. Duration of the session can range from min. 20 mins to 1 hrs max. roughly. Any profession in the area of healthcare from cardiac surgeons to psychologists have their own grace and this apart, very deep  works need to be performed from their ends for enrichment of patients' lives. Indeed doctors' session fees are based on the intensity of quality work they are doing. Anyway our charges, procedures, protocols for the session were mentioned well in advance by our team so that they could decide whether to avail the session or not. It's not popping a pill exercise that will take 2 mins done & dusted scenarios. counseling/ psychotherapy is different , And here in therapy this happens primarily because we are working with complex & toxic emotions, distorted thinking patterns & many other subconscious conflicts that prevent one from living a fully functional life.
