Wounded with iron Tetanus injection requ
Hello Doc, My son has been wounded with iron nail and little bit of blood came out. Here is the list of vaccine given to him. Kindly suggest, is tetanus shots required for him. He is 3 year old. Thanks Neha

Last dpt at 18 months so i suggest you no dose to be which as which was supposed to be give at 5 years. The gap is less than 3 years so no need

Tetanus vaccination is not required as child received his first booster dose at 18months of age Wound dressing wound suffice

Your vaccination seems updated and last DTP booster received at 1.5 years, hence tetanus not required. If routine vaccination is complete, no need for TT till 15 years for normal wounds
