For a clean degloving wound without infection, dressing is usually changed every 24–48 hours in the early phase. Once healthy granulation starts and discharge reduces, it may be changed every 2–3 days — but only as per your surgeon’s advice, because deglove injuries vary a lot. To help faster skin/healing: Keep blood sugar normal (even if non-diabetic). High-protein diet: eggs, dal, paneer, curd, chicken, fish. Vitamin C + Zinc supplements (if your doctor allows). Avoid pressure on the injured foot. Maintain a moist (not wet) sterile dressing.
