Its Better if you go for extraction with the wisdom tooth. Usually wisdom tooth rarely come across occlusion and help in chewing. And in most of the cases, if not properly accessible, rct will be difficult for the operator giving a high chance of faulty treatment and hence future problems.
Next Steps
consult your doc for giving more visual ideas of the tooth. Go for extraction if there is not any underlying medical conditions.

The prognosis of root canal for wisdom tooth is average. Whereas for all other teeth its very good. Prognosis is average because the wisdom tooth is difficult to access as its in corner of mouth and the tooth anatomy is variable. Also placing a cap becomes difficult. Root canal is incomplete without cap. You can try doing root canal from MDS endodontist. Wisdom tooth is not very much required from chewing. Having it or not doesn't make much difference. Its difficult to brush also being in corner of mouth. Also if opposite wisdom tooth is not in occlusion or in good condition then wisdom tooth are removed.

As a dentist we always look for saving tooth rather than extraction. The main consent here in wisdom tooth is their accessibility for a dentist to do either filling or Root canal procedure and one more is whether the operated tooth and opposite upper wisdom is in proper position or not and useful in function. considering all these aspects we decide to do procedure.
Next Steps
if you post clinical and radiographic pictures, we can exactly guide you.
