If healing is normal, soft food for a few days is recommended.
Do not consume hot or spicy food.
Sweets can be consumed unless you have any other systemic problems, as long and you ensure your oral hygiene is good and food debris don't accumulate in the mouth
Although you should have been given detailed instructions by the operating dentist, but what I can tell you briefly is to have a soft diet from the opposite side for 3 to 4 days at least. In this duration avoid anything warm or hot for the first 24 hours. Avoid spitting or vigorous rinsing of your mouth for 3 to 4 days.
Regards.
