Wisdom tooth removal
I want to get my wisdom tooth removed. I got the x-ray done in November 2016. Will it be enough for the procedure. I also need to know the recovery period.

The same xray would do. You can go to work the very next day. Pain will be controlled with drugs given. A post surgical swelling can be expected upto a week depending on how complicated the extraction is and wouldn't be much if a cold conpress is applied for 5 mins every hour for first 24 hours. Swelling is common and a sign of healing.

Good morning generally the wisdom tooth location won't change after the jaw growth stops still it is advisable to go for a X-ray of that particular tooth called as IOPA. Depending on the complexity of extraction the recovery period would wary from 1-3weeks. In the initial recovery period you might witness some swelling and slight inability to open mouth as well.
Next Steps
Get the wisdom tooth removed by a oral surgeon the experience will be less painful.
Health Tips
If the wisdom teeth troubles you get it removed as early as possible.
