If you're experiencing sharp pain in the area where your wisdom tooth was removed, it's possible that it could be a dry socket. Dry socket occurs when the blood clot that usually forms after a tooth extraction becomes dislodged or dissolves before the socket has a chance to heal. This can result in increased pain and sensitivity in the area. To determine if you have a dry socket, it's best to contact your oral surgeon or dentist. They will be able to examine the extraction site and provide a proper diagnosis. They can also offer appropriate treatment if a dry socket is confirmed. In the meantime, you can try applying a cold compress to the outside of your cheek near the extraction site. This can help reduce swelling and numb the area, potentially providing some relief. However, avoid applying heat or warm compresses as they may worsen the pain or delay healing. It's important to reach out to your oral surgeon or dentist as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms and get the appropriate care.

U need to see whether any gap is there in the socket area. If you feel any gap in that area go to the dentist to get it checked for the dry socket. Secondly do warm saline gargles 3- 4 tines a day Thirdly don't  chew from that side to avoid food lodgement in that particular area. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after eating anything. Visit a dentist to Check the adjacent Tooth for caries or bone loss or gingiva recession
