procedure takes time so sometimes constant mouth opening causes pain. During healing stages also wound contraction also adds to the discomfort. Pain subsides usually within a week to 10 days. Due to the procedure even mouth opening is constricted so consult your dentist and discuss the problem and he or she would be more than happy to help and explain the problem.

use two pillows and try not to sleep on the side of the extraction.
