Wisdom tooth
I am problem with my wisdom tooth, as it keep repeating in every 5/7 months. Therefore, I need to get it extracted. So, kindly suggest if there is any other alternative other than getting it removed? Thank you

Dear practo user Rule is If you having recurring pain and infection more than 3 times with same wisdom tooth, get it removed as at this age tooth should be there in proper position. Can share details such clinical photos and X-ray for definite treatment plan ( tooth saving procedures or extraction )

If recurring discomfort is associated with erupting wisdom tooth than extraction is advisable... If discomfort is associated with cheek bite or insufficient oral space then grinding is also an option..

Hi, sadly most of the times the only concrete solution to a wisdom tooth issue is an extraction. It will be very helpful to diagnose the problem more precisely if a copy of a radiograph (x-ray) of the tooth and an image of the tooth can be shared (it is possible to click a pic with a smart phone) to understand if a simpler solution may work for you
