The decresed space what u r seeing can also be due to the position of ur knee at the time of x ray. Where the x ray shoot in standing or sleeping position. As in sleeping position there is overlap of both bone shadow depending on knee bend at the time of shoot. And if it was shoot in standing position then consult an orthopaedic consultant in ur area. Dont panic for information about whom u know nothing.
