Why biopsy
I have cough of last 2 weeks. And i 2 days before i am spitting blood and nasal bleeding. Doctor said that it is because of fungus and i must operate it.. When i consult another doctor for a 2 nd opinion he also said that it us fungus but i must do biopsy. Biopsy is to detect cancerous cells. Though it means i havecancer.. After taking the medicine the bleeding is reducing. To undergo biopsy means i have cancer??

Very hasty decisions are being taken in your case. First of all, we don't diagnose fungal infections just by symptoms. Secondly  we don't do biopsy from the lung or throat. We may take a superficial scrape from the nose and send it for microscopic examination. Anyway, please follow your Doctor's advice.

Have you got a ctscan or mri done? Do you have weight loss? You need proper investigation and check up before biopsy.

Please share your chest X-ray and ct scan of thorax. With chest X-ray at least and CT scan , biopsy can’t be planned . Moreover I would need to know whether you are smoker or not ?

Biopsy is to diagnose your condition by taking a tissue out of the diseased place. It's not always for cancer
