Why antibiotic need in viral infection (
Hello as we know antibiotics only work against bacteria that why it is called antibiotic .Covid 19 is virus made means viral disease then why antibiotics are using ( ie doxycycline or azithromycin ) ...

We use antibiotic in Covid to treat superimposed bacterial infection which will generally occur. Not only ok Covid, but in any upper respiratory tract infection or flu which is also viral infection superimposed bacterial infection will occur becoz of the already existing vira infection. To treat that we give antibiotics .

This is something even I don't understand. There is no role of antibiotics is COVID I9 and should not be used.
