Whoosh sound either could be due to Eustachian tube defect which is a tube that connects nose and ear or it could be tinnitus.
Whatsoever, u first need to visit an ent Dr in person to examine ur ear first
Next Steps
Go meet an ent dr
Health Tips
Do steam inhalation
Play a radio or listen to some music or song at night in order to mask the sound
If it started after a cold it could be an Eustachian tube catarhh. Do you suffer from symptoms of allergic rhinitis as well? Kindly do a consult. Alternately you may start alternate nostril breathing exercises as well as a guarded Valsalva manoeuvre ( will be available on YouTube). By any means do not try to search for the sound. At night turn the fan or ac on to mask the sound.
Next Steps
Video/in person consult
Health Tips
Do not do a forceful Valsalva
