Your question is vague , could not determine what's the status of diabetes. There 3 types of insulin :short acting , intermediate acting and long acting including ultralong acting . Long Acting Insulins peak at approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours and their effects last throughout the day from 12-24 hours and UpTo 42 hrs in ultralong acting . Long acting insulins reduce fasting blood glucose levels more efficiently and with less nocturnal hypoglycemic events compared with human neutral protamine Hagedorn (NPH) insulin.
