White patch (line) and redness on throat

About 2 months ago I noticed a white line in my throat (where the right tonsil used to be) and a dark redness where the left one was. It is not painful, but I might have felt the white line "pulsating", although it might just be me worrying. 3 months ago I went to the dentist because some of my teeth shifted, but he just replaced the apparently broken permanent retainer and didn't say anything about the throat (although it might have been as visible as on pic below).
