While coughing pain on left rib cage
For past few days I had cough so I took benadryl syrup which helped to reduce cough but since yesterday when I cough I have a pain in left rib cage and also while deep breathing.

Did you have any minor injury to your chest inthe recent past?
Kindly consult a doctor at your locality after taking x-ray chest.
You have suppressed the natural mechanism of coughing with benadryl ( self medications is to avoided)
Now you may need antibiotics,analgesics , antihistamines for atleast one week

Sounds like lower respiratory tract infection.
You may need to start some antibiotics for few days
