What to be the next step?
I fell down from a 3 feet height wall 10 days before . My left wrist was broken. I am taking alternative medication from 10 days . Today I had taken x ray in that it clearly shows that the bones were not positioned properly. I am getting pain at another end of radius .. What I need to do? Can I go for surgery now? Will surgery cures everything ? What might costs for surgery? Will it be any side effects for the surgery? Somone tells that continue the alternative medication like puthooru Kattu ..etc Left x-ray today taken Right x-ray taken 10 days before

This is Intraarticular fracture distal radius bone . Articular congruity should be maintained by either type of intervention whether it is conservative means where closed manipulation and cast/ splint application OR open reduction and internal fixation by plates and screws. If articular congruity is not maintained then post traumatic arthritis will occur soon. So in my opinion if you are surgically fit for operative treatment, then go for it .

There is definitely a fracture at the wrist joint. 10 days is a huge delay in the treatment. And surgery must be done as early as possible. You cannot expect miracle after delaying for 10 days. The golden period has passed. There will be stiffness even after the surgery. But anything apart from surgery will make things even worse. No Orthopaedic surgeon will advise Putthooru kattu because we don't believe in it.
Next Steps
Consult with an Orthopaedic surgeon immediately and get the surgery done. delay will increase the damage further
Health Tips
Do not go for Putthooru kattu or any natibe treatment.

The fracture is displaced. Surgery is the only option. Get it done ASAP. Cost depends on where you get the surgery done. There is no alternative medicine.
